Sold me two boxes of dishes. Upon opening the boxes at home I noticed one had a broken cup inside. I took the box of broken dishes back to exchange and noticed there were none of the same design left except for the display. The person at the customer service desk and the young man assisting us on the floor were very kind but when the young man called a manager they immediately said no to letting us swap the broken cup from the display. Didnāt even let the young man finish speaking before cutting him off and saying no. I spoke to another manager personally after that and explained Iād never had such an inflexible experience with any retailer in my life and that Iād never shop at Kohls if theyād refuse to simply let me exchange their broken product with the display. (All they would have to do is order a new box for themselves at swap a cup, no setup, nothing). They told me Iād have to drive an hour and half round trip to their other store and purchase an intact version there. Not wanting to waste more of my day or buy unecessary gas I asked if they could simply ship the other stores product to this Findlay location. They again said no. I now understand why retailers like Walmart and Amazon are thriving and places like Kohls are shrinking. I next drove straight to the Lima location where they said I could find the set in stock (to match the 1/2 boxes I bought that werenāt broken), and they also did not have the set in stock like they said it was. Wasted my day, my gas, and my patience. I will never shop at another Kohls again. Iām 36 years old and a business owner. And I can honestly say Iāve never had a shopping experience like this nor have I ever been so rigid with a customer of my own. If any VPs or Directors of Customer experience read my review I encourage you to check out your customer insights software and see that I never leave reviews like this. Iām an easy going consumer. This is truly just a standout bad experience. Iām stunned at the lack of care for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKohlās account hacked. I purchased a couple of gifts from Kohls a few weeks ago and was rewarded Kohlās Cash to use at a future date. I verified that it showed up in my account and planned on using it last Friday 12/01/2023. I fortunately do not have a credit card with them. My account is merely for online purchases. When I went shopping at Kohls Friday I was told that I didnāt have any Kohls cash even though I showed the cashier the email verifying that I had earned it with my purchase. The cashier told me that it had been used in Woodbridge IL the day before. I live in Findlay OH - a good 6 hours away. The cashier gave me a phone number to call. Of course I was on hold forever. Finally when I reached someone they told me that my account had been hacked and my Kohls cash was used by somebody in IL. They said there was nothing that they could do about it even though my account had been hacked. The cash was gone. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and was told that I couldnāt because that was their policy. I was also told that if I returned the gifts that I bought that the value of the Kohlās cash would be subtracted from the amount refunded with the return. Poor customer service - in this case no customer service - is the reason that stores go out of business . It is not all of the woe is me excuses that they use. Hopefully, Kohls will go out of business soon and we can get an ethical business...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKohl's is kind of like Peebles. The regular prices are a little too expensive for my taste, but if you hit a sale, like a clearance sale then good deals can be found. So basically shop in advance for what you want and wait a few weeks and buy it on sale. It does seem like there's always a sale going on at Kohl's though.
Sometimes they carry a good selection of big and tall stuff but they don't last long. When my mother passed away a couple of months ago In was fortunate enough to catch watch one of these sales and was able to pick up several sports coats for around $60 reach. I picked up a few. I also snagged a couple pair of nice dress pants for around $25 - $30 each, which was good timing because all of my clothes were getting way too big for me as I have lost close to 180 lbs.
All in all, my wife loves to shop at Kohl's so what can I say... we...
