GameStop — Local services in Florence

We just left this location after waiting an hour and a half for them to open. They were supposed to open at 10a and there was a release of a new game today that we pre-ordered. They literally just never opened.

A whole crowd of people waited for them to open to pick up copies of a game we already ordered and paid for for over an hour. We called stores all around us and no one would help. Someone in the crowd finally go through to a manager at another store who said everyone at this store was sick and no one was coming in.

There was no sign on the door, we pre-paid for the game and it had to be picked up at this location. We ended up having to buy new copie at another store and spend twice as much. People in the crowd had taken the day off work, etc. And just no one...

I bought a controller from this location. It was a 200$ controller. It looked nice and a lot better than the one I was using. I noticed as I was playing that it wasn’t for me. So I put everything in the box, cleaned the controller. Taped the box up and put it back in the bag with the receipt. Get to the store to return it and they say I can’t return it because it had been opened and it’s a new product. What?! NEVER IN MY LIFE have I had something to return where I couldn’t just get my money back or get an even exchange. “Well it’s company policy.” Why wouldn’t you tell me that or have disclaimed somewhere. It’s almost half the price of the effing console. NEVER BUY FROM GAMESTOP. Go to Amazon....

They e really simplified everything, and there isn't as much to choose from anymore if you're an "in store" shopper; however, they are very helpful when it comes to trying to find something, or order anything, and the store us extremely clean. Trade Ins are still disappointing as far as value, but that's the industry as a whole. I prefer this store over all others in the surrounding area because there's never a hassle when I need to find something or want to know where to go if they don't have it in stock.
