I had such a wonderful experience at Ulta in Florence, Alabama (Cox Creek Boulevard) thanks to Marlee! From the very beginning, she was absolutely incredible. She took her time during a thoughtful pre-consultation to really understand what I wanted, which meant so much to me because I have very fine hair and a lot of concerns. I came in with fears about lightening my hair, I was worried it might be too harsh or damaging , but Marlee reassured me every step of the way . Not only did she achieve the perfect lightened shade I wanted, but she blended it so beautifully and naturally that I couldn’t be happier with the result. I left feeling super pleased, confident, and so happy with my hair. Scheduling the appointment was easy and the entire process was seamless. Marlee was completely dedicated to me the whole time I was there — gentle, kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions with care, explained what she was doing and why, and constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable and happy throughout the appointment. I can honestly say I recommend her 100%. Marlee is not only a talented professional but also a truly sweet and caring person. Marlee, the elite stylist, was fantastic! I got my hair done a couple of days ago, and she was extremely helpful. I just found out my true hair type recently, and it turns out that I hadn't been caring for my hair correctly for years. I was unsure exactly how to correctly treat my hair, and she not only walked me through what she was doing, but why she was doing it and how to do it myself. After my haircut, she even styled it for me, then she walked me to a couple of areas in the store. She pointed out and explained some products that she thought may work for me. (She also explained that if i didn't like the products I had chosen, ULTA has a return policy that you can bring back used/ open ULTA products as long as there's at least 80% product left in the container.) The stylists don't earn commission on floor sales, so she was truly just taking the time to help me. On top of that, when I decided that I wasn't happy with the blunt cut on my ends and wanted it tapered instead, she was so nice about it and was able to get me in the very next day. (ULTA has a policy for haircuts that you have 1 week after the haircut to get it fixed for no extra charge, so that was great!) I love my hair, and I'm so happy to be able to go to someone like her. Would do ZERO stars if possible. Would not recommend this place to any one. Booked hair appointment WEEKS in advance. Waited weeks (cause there was no one else “available” apparently Ulta cuts every humans hair in the entirety of the United States). Then had to reschedule appointment cause the original stylist apparently has disappeared of the face of the earth. Booked online. Wanted a color and cut. Quoted $180.00. Get to Ulta after waiting weeks for this appointment and now they don’t have time to do the color. Cause the stylist leaves early. So that’s a blow. Then the price changed completely. $65.00/30 min? The stylist can’t give me an idea of a total time cause she “doesn’t know” ? Yet she gets to charge more cause she is elite? That doesn’t make sense. So everything we booked can’t happened. Even though we booked WEEKS in advance. Now the choices are a cut and come back or a cut and to bad? That’s bad business and just unacceptable customer service. When booked no one said she could not do this that and the other. They said she was “the one” . No one said she left whenever she wanted not during the times we booked.
