One Star - Furious, Heartbroken, and Completely Let Down

I cannot believe the experience I had at Trendz Salon in New Jersey. I booked an appointment with Miriam for bridal party glam waves, clip-in extensions, and makeup—clearly stating this was for a black tie wedding I was attending that night. The whole reason I scheduled this service was because I got off a flight from a wedding in Vegas at 7 AM this morning and needed to be camera-ready and on time.

When I arrived, no one told me that Miriam doesn’t specialize in this type of styling or makeup. They just let her take me back like everything was fine. I showed her a photo of myself with the exact look I wanted. Fast forward 2.5 hours—my hair looked frizzy and windblown, and my makeup hadn’t even started. I was told I’d be done in under two hours.

I was in tears at the front desk. Thankfully, two kind stylists rushed in to help and tried to salvage what they could in about 30 minutes—I’m truly grateful for their efforts. But still, only 3 of my 9 extensions were put in, and I looked nothing like I asked for.

Worse? I was charged $316—full price—for this disaster. For reference, I paid less for my actual wedding hair and makeup, which looked 1000 times better.

Because of this, I was also late to the wedding I was trying so hard to make it to in the first place. This experience was not only unprofessional—it was emotionally exhausting and unacceptable. I own a salon myself and would never allow something like this to happen to a client.

If you’re considering Trendz, do not book online. Call directly. Confirm your stylist is experienced in the service you need, and ask to see examples of their work. I will never return here and strongly caution others to be very careful before trusting them with...

Do not book for wedding. I originally gave this salon a 5 star review based off of my consulation. During the consulation I felt I was in great hands! So I booked hair and makeup for my wedding with Grace and Danielle. During the consulation they dicussed timing being very important to them and how they manage every girl and rotate to be effienct. They were very very late in the morning to get ready and very unprofessional, unorganized and slow. No one was happy with their hair nor makeup, especially me as the bride. Hairstylist was then distracting me and my girls and our photographers so she can get pictures and videos of our hair for her own portfolio, as if we werent already late!!! My photographer was very annoyed with this, as she kept interupting his job and my wedding!! my hair looked completely different then our trial and I genuinely hated it. In the end we were too late to the actual wedding for me to fix my own appearance and how that's how I have to look in my wedding photos, videos. Forever. I wasnt going to do anythinf about it as it was a sensitive subject and theres nothing they can do to change it. But i have decided to change my review almost a year later to 1 star because as time goes on I am more and more furious with their services. I’ve been this saloon before and got a service from Krista de fazio. Right after the service she reminded me to schedule the next appointment with the saloon on May 23rd. I absolutely forgot the appointment and they are saying that I have received the reminder email and confirmed the appointment which I did not and today ı checked my credit card transactions and figured that they charged me $317.20 just because ı didn’t show up to the appointment. This is fraudulent! They saves the card informations of their customers in to their system. Dont ever go to this saloon. They are con people. I called my credit card company and dispute the charge. I didn’t sign any policy. They are talking about policies over the phone. I haven’t encountered any facilities which have business concepts like that.
