If I could give zero stars I would. My food was delivered late (on Uber, that’s fine I knew the food would be cold) but when I opened up my delivery there was oil all over the plastic bag and then more all over the brown bag used to keep the bagels in. Mind you the bagel is also wrapped in foil. As I’m going through this greasy bag I can smell a raw scent (as if it’s from an unclean environment) I’m taking my veggie omelette and homes fries out of the bag to be met with an absurd amount of grease on the bottom of the bag and under the plate itself. I couldn’t even hold it, it was so greasy. Not to mention my bagel was burnt. I called the store to let them know my issue and they blame it on Uber and butter. As if people don’t know the difference between oil and butter. He said a little butter on the bagel cause that to happen and my food sitting there because of Uber is why that happened. He didn’t even find a way to resolve the issue. This is my first time coming here and it will definitely be my last. The eggs weren’t even good no flavor at all. My husband and I were having an afternoon wedding at Park Savoy and staying at Archer Hotel the night prior, where we were getting ready in the morning. My bridesmaids and I had to be up at 5am for hair and makeup and wanted to make sure we had some breakfast, as it was going to be a long morning. I found Florham Park Bagel & Deli on the way back from a trip to Park Savoy prior to our wedding and spoke with the owner, Yasser. He could not have been nicer. He helped us put together an order of a few trays of assorted bagels, pastries, and fruit for the bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as coffee and other drinks. Yasser sent us home that day with a dozen complimentary bagels, which was so beyond kind. He also helped us out immensely on our wedding day by personally delivering everything to our hotel at 5:30am. He truly went above and beyond and we are so appreciative. This place is close and convenient. The owner is extremely rude and I suspect he hates women. I have been here before and he is never a ray of sunshine but this time he went too far. I walk in and he is serving the man in front of me who happens to be a police officer. He was nice as can be to the officer, calling him Sir and acting like a normal person. I was the only other person in the store, he finishes serving the cop and does not even acknowledge my presence. He goes in the back and messes around with some stuff, takes a phone call, and then finally after a several awkward minutes of me standing there he grumps a barely audible"yes?". Not Can I help you? or Good morning. Just Yes? This can not be caused by anything I have done because I am waiting patiently and he he surely saw me standing there.
