Just left CVS Florham park w/o completing my purchase. Maybe the lesson is don’t go here before 9am? I work nearby and anytime I stop in here before work (before 830am) it’s a hassle. There’s never any staff in the actual store, they’re always in the back rooms and there’s never NOT a problem with the self check out.
I got my stuff, about $30 worth of stuff, and went to check out. Someone else was in front of me already checking out and waiting for a staff member to come fix the machine. The second machine was also blinking, waiting for someone to come fix.
After a few minutes, a staff member comes out of the walls, scans her card to get the machines going again, and then disappears back into hiding.
I scanned my stuff, I swiped my card, and then the machine needed an age verification for the cold meds. I stood there for a few minutes, then walked into one of the back rooms and called out to see if anyone was around. A lady responded, i said the check out needed a staff member, she called to someone else. I went back to check out. The same girl from before comes over, scans her card, and then practically ran back into the back rooms. The machine needed a staff member to verify age, but I figure whatever I’ll just type it in since she left.
I type it in. Machine does not accept it. I called out “hello?” No answer. At this point I’d been trying to get checked out for something like 5-10 minutes and I was out of time. I had to get to work. I checked my iPhone app to make sure the bank transaction had not gone through yet, tossed my stuff into a cart that was next to the check out and left.
Total waste of my time and incredibly frustrating and it’s like this every single...
Read moreI have been coming to this CVS for over 6 months to pickup my cats monthly prescription of Lantus insulin. I have been paying same price every 28 days for the same exact meds since April. Lately, I have experienced several issues including not having in stock even with auto-refill and constantly having to call my vet to get refills. They have been saying they are not getting my vets messages and my vet blocked them from emails. All that adds stress to an already stressful situation with a pet suffering from diabetes and relies on this insulin. With all of that being said, tonight I went in to pickup the Lantus and another prescription and was told the price was doubled even though I had been paying same price. The pharmacy tech was incredibly rude as was the pharmacist. I had mentioned the reason why the cost was $35 was because it was only a 28 day supply and not 90. Again they were rude and disrespectful. Once again had to explain and read the instructions on the bottle “must use within 28 days”. The pharmacist reran the codes and miraculously it came up as $35. No apology or anything. I am definitely going to be looking elsewhere after today for a different local pharmacy. Unbelievable the way I...
Read moreAfter nearly 2 decades of loyally using CVS to fill my prescriptions, I'm officially done with them. Just filled my final prescription today. I'm sick of the judgement when trying to fill an opioid , or being told said opioid is 'out of stock', there's an 'insurance hold', they have 'no clue' when it'll be back in stock, etc. I called another local pharmacy and they had plenty of the medication, and magically, my insurance did not have a 'hold' on it.
I am a chronic pain sufferer with a congenital neck disorder, causing constant pain and daily headaches. I need this medication to live, not to abuse and escape, yet I'm consistently treated like some sort of criminal when I try to fill this medicine at CVS. Medicine my DOCTOR says I need. I've had CVS pharmacists tell me outright, 'I'm not comfortable filling your prescription - this is a lot of pills'. It's absolutely none of their business to add their opinion.
CVS has lost a long-term customer...and I wholeheartedly hope other people drop them as well. It's despicable how they treat their customers with legitamate...
