Had some family from out of town meet me & my family at this place for the first time since it was near both of our hotels. The food and environment were pretty decent. The staff greeted my family and I very nicely upon arrival. I really enjoyed the cauliflower pizza as my appetizer it was very delicious and even my children enjoyed it. My husband had the penne vodka and the mahogany salmon dish and it was okay, I’ve definitely had better. However, I gave it 3 stars because our waitress had a bit of an attitude while serving my family because my children ordered chocolate ice cream with their kids meals an he brought out vanilla. It was a lot of negative body language as if he was annoyed even when bringing out the refills but my family and I just tried to not let it bother us. Upon departure after paying the bill and giving him a $20 tip, the waitress then came back and asked if we made a mistake on his tip because we didn’t even tip him 10%. I was pretty darn shocked because he was rude the entire time serving us and I really didn’t have to give him anything but still gave him something. And also I just feel like that was very unprofessional because I could have been giving him my very last dime and he was just very unappreciative especially giving the fact that tips are not mandatory, it’s definitely a privilege and I don’t know about anyone else but i definitely tip based on the waitress performance and attitude and to be quite honest he was not even worth my $20.

Some unique things on the menu. Nothing clearly marked vegetarian. I had the squash soup. It was ok once I added salt & pepper. Perhaps it needs nutmeg? My entree was a spinach salad with feta and pecans. It was good but way too big. Not necessary. Others had French onion soup. My sister had crab cakes. Ok. Turkey meatloaf seemed good. Lobster bisque was sent back due to an unusual taste. And watery. The guys had steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. They said it was good. But the mashed potatoes were a bit dry and needed salt & pepper. I had 2 lychee martini’s. They were great. For dessert we had a bread pudding (no raisins - 👍🏼) which was huge and I shared this. It had ice cream. It could use a bit of flavor. Perhaps cinnamon?? The pear apple dessert seemed ok. With a little extra care in flavor I’d give it 5 stars. **Vegetarian options would be great and I don’t mean pasta primavera. —- Our server was very patient and accomplished. Al is his name

Thirsty Turtle is a great place for lunch. There is music in the background similar to a sportsbar. I included photos of both menus. I am going to focus my review on the gluten free part. They have a sizable selection of gluten free items on its own dedicated menu (see photo). The burgers all come with a gluten free bun ! They also have 3 types of gluten free chicken wings to choose from. For dinner, they have entrees that range from nice steak selections to filet mignon kabobs. For a lighter selection for lunch or dinner, they have 4 different gluten free salads to choose from. For people who want to choose drinks, they make a home brew of ice tea with lemon or lime. They also have gluten free alcoholic selections including beers. Overall a very fair priced place with a friendly atmosphere. Jim Beers is the operating partner (if you should ever have any problems). Parking is plentiful. It is right behind King's grocery store and in the plaza next to Trader Joe's

I have never written a bad review for anyone but I refuse to condone bad behavior & people’s lack of accountability for their actions..I am sick of it…Last nigh Oct 8, we wanted to celebrate our grandson’s 13 B’day and he chose this restaurant ..since it was 8 of us we had to drive in 2 cars …Our grandson had received a gift card for McDonalds and he wanted to stop and get his younger sister a Happy Meal(for the toy) Family was already sitting down . We walked in to get the keys for their car to leave the Happy Meal ..As soon as we walked in , we were berated buy the Asst Mgr (tall Bald Guy) and a greeter (short chubby woman with shoulder length hair) Both individuals were ill-mannered & un-profesional…they embarrassed our grandson and tears flooded his eyes.. To add insult to injury they were trash talking us to one another All we wanted were the keys to the car….. they wrongly assumed we were bringing “The Box” into the premises…All 8 of us got up and left ..we will NEVER go back to an establishment that treats their customers with such...
