I came to Ivy Rehab in Florham Park 3 months after my rotator cuff repair surgery. It was my surgeon's suggestion to make the change because I was a little more stiff than I should have been at that point in my recovery. Jonathan gave me a new stretching program that increased my range of motion in a matter of weeks. Once the surgeon said I can gradually start playing tennis again at 6 months post-surgery, I was put on a return-to-play protocol by Dom who walked me through every exercise, answered all my questions, and constantly watched and corrected my form as I did them. At every visit Dom asked if I had played, if I had served, and how it felt so that he could modify my therapy accordingly. He even gave me exercises to prevent tennis elbow since it had been a while since I had hit a tennis ball. The attention, care and encouragement I have received in the past few months has been exceptional and I am extremely grateful. Scheduling was never a problem and Sareena always took my constraints into account with a smile. Heartfelt thanks to everyone at IvyRehab Florham Park who has helped me through my recovery in big...
Read moreI just completed a course of PT at Ivy Rehab in Florham Park to treat impingement of my right shoulder. I have nothing but positive things to say. Dr. Carly Posella performed the initial assessment, developed a treatment plan (for both in office and at home) and performed my therapy. She modified the plan regularly as my condition improved – changing intensity and adding new exercises. And I always felt she was watching over me when I was exercising on my own - she’d come over and redirect me or shout a word or two of encouragement from across the room. She worked with my insurance company to squeeze more visits out of them. She’s professional, personable and thorough. The other staff I worked with were great too. Kyle (PTA) always had my equipment ready when I finished warming up and helped keep me on track by answering questions and making sure I completed everything. And Aura at the front desk (appointments, insurance, and (I’m sure) a bunch of other behind-the-scenes stuff) was PP&T too. I wouldn’t hesitate to return (which I hope I don’t need to) and I recommend them without a...
Read moreAfter my leg and shoulder muscles were compromised by a rare autoimmune disease I had the opportunity to be treated at the Florham Park Ivy Rehab center. Mike Ramsthaler was my PT. The facility was very accommodating. It was open, well equipped, and an overall pleasant place to exercise. Mike was a superb PT. He assessed my status when we started, provided a road map of how he planned to treat my legs firstly then my shoulders and conducted periodic reviews to determine my progress. He explained the purpose of each exercise, the proper way to perform it and how it was contributing to the goal of rehabbing my muscles. In the end my legs and shoulders were in perfect shape and I was ready to resume my normal fitness program at home. It was a pleasure working with Mike and being treated at Ivy. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of a comprehensive...
