The University of California has been conducting research on how school staff instigate hostility towards bilingual students and retaliate against the student who complains. Folsom Lake College is one example of this type of bullying towards bilingual students.
Very unprofessional education staff. They have administrative staff that are very unprofessional towards students. They use the well known tactic of using unlawful bullying and hostility to make a student leave. The academic advisor lacked the ability to provide adequate and correct information resulting in taking the wrong class without the prerequisites. The staff in the disability center use unlawful bullying prohibited by CA PEN 415, to harass a student. The staff are unprofessional and have problems getting along with others.

At FLC, you’ll get affordable tuition, professors who actually teach, and a support system that doesn’t play mind games. The atmosphere is focused, real, and honest — you’re not just a number or a pawn in some academic ladder-climbing circus.
UC Davis? Overpriced, overhyped, and underdelivers for most students — especially if you're not in STEM. Unless you're one of the lucky few who get into the right lab or know the right people, you’ll struggle to stand out. It’s full of gatekeeping, academic politics, and empty talk about “community” while smart, driven students get quietly sidelined for not fitting the mold. Career advancement feels like a closed club.
The ROI at UC Davis is shockingly low for many majors. You’ll pay thousands (or go into debt) for a degree that often leaves you underemployed or ignored by employers — while FLC lets you explore, learn, and grow without financial chains or wasted time.
If you want real learning, real opportunity, and real value: start at Folsom...

One staff member offered to help me to my car (I was carrying my daughter had my.backpack and my daughters baby bag. Not a huge deal for me. That's actually what I consider to be traveling LIGHTLY. But I guess to another, especially if you don't have kids of your own, it looks like a heavy load). I mean, I could go on and on. The three teachers I have are all awesome. The students are all super friendly. I could go on and on about both the Folsom and El Dorado...
