Del Taco — Restaurant in Folsom

Second time I went here, I asked the lady at the drive through for alot of sauce because they didn't give me enough last time. She responded INSTANTLY defensive in a harsh tone "what does that even mean, how can i give you something I can't even measure?" -- So I told her ok how about 3 sauces per item, and it seems like she counted them out exactly as if that really matters.

By the way, she was wearing a different shirt than all of the other employees leading me to believe she was the manager. I wanted to leave a bad review but I decided to shrug it off.

HOWEVER, I returned today. and she was there again, and not only did she give me burritos that looked punctured at the bottom, leaking stuff everywhere, she only gave me two sauces for 4 items. Maybe it's because I didn't ask for extra? Either way, I've never been more intent on contacting the corporate office of a fast food place to get somebody canned... something I never thiought I would do. Would give 0 stars if that was an option.

This Del Taco is pretty good. Food has always seemed to be hot and freshly prepared to order. That can make it take a little longer than some other places, but hardly noticable. Definitely nothing to complain about (especially since the reason is fresh food!) Once in a while, they do forget an item in my bag, but they have always been really nice, and apologetic about the situation. And of course, promptly replaced the missing item. To be fair, i do tend to hace a pretty large order here because i usually end up getting food for a few people. I could understand how it would be easy enough to miss something. No complaints about the customer service, either. All the emoloyees who have taken my (large) order have been patient, and didn't sound annoyed, like some other place's emoloyees might have. The guy at the drive thru window last time i went seemed to have a pretty good sense of humor, which doesn't go unappreciated.

Overall summation ~ Yes, go to this Del Taco, its a good one!

Well I’m writing a review for a fast food joint. I usually order through the drive thru. And I have no complaints. Since the days of COVID, they have mores staff to handle the drive thru and dining room. Both are open.

The dining room is kept clean. It’s comfortable. At Del Taco, they have a human person take your order at the counter. No kiosk. The human that took my order last week was great. He had a great attitude and was helpful. I ordered items to go. I was even offered a water cup while I waited. Great customer service.

The food is basic. Simple. Tasty. The prices are the lowest around for fast food. My family’s go to are the bean burrito with verde sauce $2.29, snack taco $1.29 and the crunchy Del taco $2.29, crinkle cut $3.39-$3.89, and the Del burger $3.29. The crinkle cut fries seem to be inconsistent in the doneness. Sometimes I’ve gotten crisp fries where they are not soft to the bite, other times the fries have no crispness and are limp but cooked , but the majority of time I get ‘ em fried to the doneness between those two.
