This experience at the furniture store left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I spoke to Robert about a chaise lounge in which I was interested a few months ago and emailed pictures; I never heard back from him. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and called back last week. When I finally got through to someone, I didn't mention my previous interaction and simply asked if they had anything similar to the chase lounge I had in mind. The employee immediately told me that they couldn't order from that company, and I understood that, but I was hoping they could find something comparable. He said he would have one of his associates call me back before 6 p.m., but I never received a call. A week went by until I called today to follow up. Robert was rude, unhelpful, and disrespectful, constantly interrupting me and repeating the same information about not being able to order from that company. I tried to explain that I understood that, but I was just hoping they could find something similar. He then proceeded to tell me that the call was not starting on a good note, and I thought to myself,🤔 What is he talking about? I said to him that it was common curiosity to call back a customer. He continued to repeat himself and said he would end this call, and I thought to myself, Is he kidding? He ended the call, and I called back to ask for the corporate number, and he hung up on me again. I couldn't believe the lack of professionalism and customer service.
First, not calling a customer back isn’t making an effort. You also didn’t respond to my email over a month ago .. Then, when I made the effort to follow up again, I was met with the manager again aggressively repeating himself over and over that the product couldn’t be ordered. It was blatantly clear the item couldn’t be ordered; I was told they would try to find me a similar alternative and call back before 6 p.m. that evening. Nobody throughout this entire situation has provided a single alternative. There was absolutely no effort made on their part. He got offended on the phone because he got called out on the fact that so much time has gone by and he still couldn’t provide a single alternative . If they couldn’t find an alternative for me, fine. Why didn’t you just follow up and say that? This whole situation was the result of a complete lack of effort...
Read moreThis Valentines day my wife and I were window shopping after breakfast and stopped in to American Furniture in Folsom CA, Not intending on buying a couch and love seat we just wanted to start the looking process. When we entered the store we were met by Thomas and he showed us a set. Thomas was very friendly and most of all very knowledgeable of the products he was selling. We started discussing construction and the materials used. He even flipped the couch over so we could inspect the workmanship underneath and how it was made. Thomas answered every one of my questions in an easy to understand way. When he said "We can have it there tomorrow" I was sold. The paperwork was fast and efficient and we were quickly on our way. The next day after I got the confirmation text Jay called me and said he was on his way. Jay and Thi "Truck # 29" showed up on time, in a BIG truck. We live on a very small private road in the woods, the entrance to our property is VERY small as well. Jay drove that BIG truck like a professional I was so Impressed how he did not run over even a flower. You really got to see how small our place is. Jay & Thi very carefully unboxed our new couch and love seat and moved them both into our home. They were so careful going through the screen door & front door making sure not to scratch anything. They placed the new furniture where we wanted it and before Jay left, He made me go through every option to make sure I understood the operation of our new furniture. I fact he tested all the USB ports "6" and both 110Volt outlets. On the way out Jay & Thi cleaned up all the cardboard and packing material. After saying good bye the guys took that BIG truck back out of my tiny property back down the even smaller road to the High way. After running multiple service related business's and owning my own for over 32 years I know its the people that are the face of the company. When I think of American Furniture I will remember Jay, Thi and Thomas not some big corporation. This is how business should be done. You have a good product and a great team means success. I find this to be very lacking in company's today. My family and I will be recommending American Furniture to our friends. Good...

Absolute garbage.
If you’re considering buying furniture from American Furniture in Folsom, let me save you $4,500 and a mountain of frustration: Don’t do it.
I purchased a sectional sofa with an ottoman for $4,500, based on the enthusiastic assurances of their sales team. They explicitly stated that the fabric was “resilient” and “perfect for a family with three kids.” Trusting their word, I also paid for the fabric warranty after being assured it would cover everything. Big mistake.
Within two weeks, the fabric began pilling. Two weeks! By three months, the pilling was so bad I contacted the store, only to be told it was “normal wear and tear.” Normal wear and tear? On a sofa in a low-traffic area that’s barely used? Their “solution” was to send replacement covers.
Fast forward a few more months: by eight months, the pilling was absolutely unbearable, covering every seat cushion. The sofa now looks like it’s years old and dragged out of a thrift store, despite being treated with care. Once again, I contacted the store. Their response? More covers. The manufacturer and store both continued to dismiss the issue as “normal wear and tear.”
Let me be very clear: the quality of this furniture is horrendous. The fabric clearly cannot withstand even minimal use, let alone the normal wear and tear of a family. Add to that their horrific sales practices—making false promises about fabric durability and misleading customers into buying worthless warranties—and it’s a perfect storm of disappointment.
American Furniture in Folsom is a masterclass in how not to run a business. Their products are overpriced, poorly made, and not even remotely suited for everyday life. Their warranty is essentially a scam, and their customer service offers bandaid solutions for glaring, unfixable problems.
Do yourself a favor: Do not trust the reviews and avoid this store like the plague. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere on furniture that will actually last more than...
