ACE Cash Express — Local services in Forest Hills

Customer service reps always seem to have attitude problems, fees are way too high and they just wasted 40 minutes of my time just to deny cashing my check. I am a state and federally recognized general contractor so I get a lot of handwritten personal checks and usually just take them to my bank but in this instance I needed the money today and yesterday was a holiday so I was willing (apprehensively) to pay the $1400 fee they were going to charge me. They made no attempt to call my customer to confirm the check was indeed written by them and declined to cash it with an attitude and very little information as to why they wouldn't cash it. Also it's not like it was $30-40,000 it was just shy of $14000. I will never use this specific branch again. Every time I go in there for anything it's an attitude and now I have to deposit it in my bank anyway and wait for it to clear. Also I gave them all the paperwork and referrals they could have possibly asked for including signed contracts and receipts for $65,000 worth of other money I've received from this specific customer. Cindy was super nice, knowledgeable and able to work the system/computer quickly and knew the process of opening a checking account. I went to cash a check and left with an account due to her explanation of benefits of having an account with ACE. My time was very limited and she made the extra 10 minutes well worth the wait. I have NEVER encountered a staff member that happy to serve me and that educated on a service at one of these check cashing locations; most are irritated to be there and poor customer service. Went here cashed a small check later in evening I received a second so went back to cash it as well same lady long nails n bunch of fake hair treated me like I was some criminal trying to cash a fake check said I can’t cash another while she looked me up down with an attitude I told her call the business that issued it he will confirm she refused shoved it back out rolled her ignorant eyes judging me I’ll never go here.
