The pics you see are after a GOOD GROOMER (left) and after the PET CABANA groom (right).
I had originally posted this and decided to take it down because small business owners deserve grace. However, Since then Iâve had even more confirmations and conversations about this place, so I need to let everyone know..and SEE how terrible my dogs looked after getting âgroomedâ at Pet Cabana, LLC in Forest. I also decided to take this down originally because I wanted to give the owner a 2nd chance to remedy the situation. After attempting that again and being simply ignored⌠Here is my review⌠If 0 stars was an option thatâs what I would give and I have NEVER given a bad review ever in my life. Over $150 for this. They locked my dogs up all day, they didnât go to the bathroom (that was clear when I picked them up based on how they acted). I had told them to let me know as soon as they were ready because my big dog completely freaks out if he is locked in a crate or a small space. When I got there to pick him up in less than three minutes of them telling me they were ready, I could hear him going crazy from the parking lot . ďżźThey cut all the hair off one dog (look as his dang legs) and the other dog they hardly did anything at all. Made me pay before I saw them and the groomer âhad leftâ by the time I got there..again, I got there in less than 3 minutes. **I was supposed to be scheduled with our previous groomer(who was good) which they knew I requestedâŚ. and when I dropped them off, they said âoh the girl you usually have is no longer here so we have you with someone else.â so basically they swindled their way into grooming my dogs in the first place . That someone else was the owner I was later told. My little dog still had knots behind her ears and tangles in various other places. Their hair was not dried straight and fluffy as usual and instead looked air dried or at least partially air dried. The tear stains looked hardly touched. I donât think they cut hardly anything off my little dogs hair and they had hacked all the hair off my big dog . A few days after the âgroomâ they went to the vet for a check up. The vet commented on an appropriate grooming schedule , insinuating that I had waited too long to groom them. I had to explain that they had just been groomed less than a week prior. They commented on the knots and dirt in their ears, they were appauled. The next day my little dog went for a spay appt and I paid extra for nail trimmingâŚthey were just at the groomer why do they need to trim the nails more? When I texted the groomer to explain my disappointment(in the nicest way possible) and I was met with an excuse that the groomer was recovering from Covid and not herself and thatâs why the work was terrible. Itâs okay to be sick, but basically admitting you knowingly did a bad job but still charged full price, were not transparent, nor did you check in with meâŚ..and just look at themđ. I WAS offered a free groom to bring them back but I donât care if they offered me a $1000 credit; my dogs will never go there. She Should have offered for at least HALF my money back so I can use it to get them groomed elsewhere since my little dog especially STILL NEEDED TO BE GROOMED.. and since they took all the hair off my big dog, I guess heâll just have to wait it out đ. I specifically asked for money back after stewing over this for so long and instead was ignored. After being ignored, I decided to leave a review so others donât waste their time and money as seems they couldnât care less. Terrible grooming, terrible customer service(which is almost worse), and Iâm not feeling like my dogs were even treated nicely seeing how quickly they ran to grass to go to the bathroom after I got them. They were there from about 8:45-4/5:00. All that...
Read morePet Cabana loved my sweet Kevin truly like she was their own dog. I don't think I could have taken better care of her during the day myself. They left on her so much and knowing that she was at a place during the day that she was loved and cared for made me feel much more confident being at work and knowing my little puppy was having a good time. Suzette always did a phenomenal job grooming her and she was always so so happy to go to daycare and play with all her little friends. We started taking her to day care at just 8 weeks old and the first day I was so worried leaving her but quickly knew that she was in an excellent place that was taking great care of her. They let the dogs play and develop friendships but also keep a really close eye to keep them all safe. Right after Kevin got spayed I had asked that they just keep an eye on her and they were extremely diligent to make sure she kept her cone on and stayed in the office with them so they could monitor her movement. I have recommended all of my friends take their dogs here because I am confident that the dogs that they have in their care will feel safe, loved, and...
Read moreThe fine folks at Pet Cabana really care about your furry family members. No wonder they are consistently voted one of the best pet care centers for Lynchburg. They have very reasonable rates for the level of care and attention given to your pet during their stay. Our pup is always excited when he realizes he is going away to his âpup campâ where he gets to play with fluffy friends and loving humans. The entire staff is so nice to work with and they really take excellent care of your furry family members as if their own. This is by far the best place to board your pet if needed. Thank you again Pet Cabana for keeping our Rocko happy...
