What a GEM Brand Spanking Used is! This thrift store has created a fun, funky shopping experience with its use of color and repurposed items for decor.

The store is always clean and very well organized and items for sale are in clean, working order. I love how they stage the various sections of the store to showcase ideas on how someone could use the item. The crafting section is an especially fun section to check out as they have various items that were crafted out of items for sale.

As if all of that were not reason enough to drop some coin here, it gets better! The store is a non-profit with funds raised going to benefit the Ram Strength Lubick Foundation which provides support for local cancer survivors by providing financial assistance for basic needs, scholarships, programs and services.

So you can feel great about donating goods and/or shopping! You'll be helping to keep stuff out of the landfill and helping local cancer survivors all while clearing out clutter or scoring something just for you! What a WIN/WIN for the community and the...

This thrift store has potential. It is clean and well organized. The prices are higher than other thrift stores in town. Most items cost 20% more than they would at other local thrift shops. The greatest drawback to this store is the poor customer service. On multiple occasions I have entered this store within 45 minutes of them closing. Every time a store attendant will remind me every 5 minutes that they close in X remaining minutes. This makes me feel extremely unwelcome. I rarely spend more than 10-15 minutes in a thrift shop and I could get my shopping done more quickly if I was not constantly being nagged. They also close the basement (1/2 the stores area) half an hour before closing. If you are thrifting in Fort Collins this is not the worst option. Just avoid going around closing time or expecting any assistance from the employees. I would head to the Arc, Goodwill or Once Again Thrift before going to Brand Spanking Used.

On May 17 at 3 :30pm I walked in the store with all intentions to buy minimum of $100 since I've come here every time I visit my daughter in school. I had the worst experience in Fort Collins in general due to this woman working the counter with blind hair, she not only was obviously rude to me the minute I asked for a price on a item but she acted like as if she represented all prejudice people and I didn't belong there. I own a second hand store in Vegas and I thought we had all kind of rude people there but this woman tock the cake. When I told her she was being disrespectful by talking in a tone that clearly she didn't want to help she rolled her eyes and looked at another customer Like I was nothing. At that moment I tock the high road and walked out, I went across the street that sells recycled clothes and spent $241.93. I will never go into Spanking used store. She clearly has a problem with minority's and I'm taking my business some where...
