In the culinary constellation of Fort Collins, where eateries sprawl and vie for attention like stars in the firmament, Blue Agave Grill emerges as a celestial body whose luminescence is impossible to ignore. On a spontaneous whim, my family and I, unencumbered by the tyranny of reservations, sought refuge in its welcoming embrace. What followed was not just a meal, but an odyssey of flavor and hospitality that would leave an indelible mark on our palates and hearts.

Blue Agave Grill is not merely a restaurant; it is a sanctuary where the art of cuisine and the alchemy of service merge to create an experience that transcends the ordinary. From the moment we crossed its threshold, the staff, with their seamless choreography and intuitive grasp of our needs, set a stage where culinary dreams are not just made but exceeded.

The protagonist of our evening was Haven, a maître d’ of the highest order, whose service would not be out of place in the hallowed halls of Michelin-starred establishments. With an eye for detail and a heart attuned to the symphony of dining, she anticipated our every need, navigating us through the menu with the finesse of a seasoned conductor. Her recommendations were not mere suggestions but golden keys unlocking the treasures of Blue Agave’s kitchen.

The cuisine itself was a testament to the culinary virtuosity that resides within the walls of Blue Agave Grill. Each dish, a canvas of flavors, was a masterstroke of the chef’s prowess, marrying traditional influences with avant-garde flair. The ingredients, fresh as the morning dew, sang harmonies on our taste buds, crafting a narrative of taste that was as compelling as it was delicious.

What set Blue Agave Grill apart, however, was its unerring commitment to the art of hospitality. To accommodate a family without reservation is not just a courtesy; it is a statement of philosophy, a testament to a belief in the sanctity of the dining experience. In a world where the impersonal clutches of digitization and haste often overshadow the human touch, Blue Agave stands as a bastion of warmth and personal attention.

As we departed, the echoes of our laughter mingling with the memories of a meal that was nothing short of spectacular, it was clear that Blue Agave Grill had not just served us dinner; it had bestowed upon us an experience that would be cherished, a luminous thread woven into the fabric of our family’s narrative. In Fort Collins’ tapestry of eateries, Blue Agave Grill shines resplendently, a beacon of culinary excellence and hospitality that beckons to all who seek the sublime in their...

I have always loved Blue Agave! The restaurant has such a fun atmosphere, the food is great, and the margaritas are delicious.

When my sister wanted to host her bachelorette party here in Fort Collins, this was the first place I called to see if they could accommodate our large group. I made a reservation with the manager and explained to him why we would be coming in and what occasion we would be celebrating. He did seem somewhat reluctant to book us, but I figured maybe they had been burned by large parties not showing up in the past, which is why he required my credit card to hold the reservation.

The night of our reservation the restaurant was loud and full and all the tables around us seemed to be having a great time. We all ordered appetizers, drinks, and entrees with our server, Connor, who was absolutely wonderful.

Mid-meal a manager(?) came to us and told us we were being too loud, and blamed our group for the exit of another table who had apparently complained about us. I understand to an extent, but I did not personally feel like we were intentionally being any louder than anyone else in the restaurant, and certainly not being disrespectful. I have never been there when it has been "quiet" and I also would not expect it to be. There were several other large parties near us who were also laughing and enjoying themselves, but it did not seem like they received the same lecture.

We had planned to order another round of margaritas, but we felt a bit awkward/unwanted after the comment from the manager, it sort of killed the mood, so we paid our checks and left.

If the manager didn't want to take our reservation, I would have understood and called another restaurant downtown. I chose Blue Agave because of the many fun evenings my family and friends have spent there celebrating other occasions over the years, but I felt like it was a little bit of a disappointing experience and I am not sure that we...

I have been dining at Blue Agave Grill for years, and it remains one of my favorite spots in Fort Collins. The coconut shrimp tacos and mango fish tacos are my go-to orders, but honestly, the entire menu is fantastic. The margaritas are among the best in town, complemented by an impressive selection of tequilas. The staff is always amazing, and the food quality is consistently outstanding. When we have friends and family visiting, this is one of our top recommendations.

Recently, I’ve been dealing with significant digestive issues, including biliary dyskinesia and gastroparesis, which have severely limited my ability to eat solid foods. Most of my diet has been liquid-based, with the occasional attempt to try new dishes. When we had family friends in town who love tequila, I couldn’t resist taking them here. I decided to try the shrimp skewers with rice, substituting the corn for extra rice.

To my surprise, not only was I able to eat a little without pain, but it also sparked my appetite—a rare occurrence for me. I managed to eat six shrimp and felt good several hours later, even getting hungry again, which is very unusual for me. The next day, I returned and ordered the same dish, and once again had the same positive experience.

What’s remarkable is that I’ve tried similar dishes at home and at several other restaurants, but they’ve typically caused my symptoms to flare up. I don’t know what Blue Agave is doing differently, but it’s clear to me that their food is of the highest quality and consistency. Over the past three months, I’ve been coming back 3–5 times a week for this dish, and it has significantly helped stabilize my health.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the team at Blue Agave Grill. Your food has been a game-changer for me, and I’m...

VERY NICE! A perfect place to have a celebratory lunch or dinner or just have a nice, relaxing, delicious meal with friends. Went for lunch on Sunday to celebrate college graduation. They were busy but we never felt rushed. The server was great! I wish I could remember his name to give a shout out. The red sangria was one of the best I've had since Barcelona. Not super sweet and had a slight perfect carbonation to it. 3 out of 5 of us had the fish tacos. They were raving about them so much I had to have a bite and mmmmmm. Soooo delicious! And great portions!! I had the Jalapeno Cesar salad with salmon. Very good but get the dressing on the side because the was quite a bit on the salad. Salmon was cooked perfectly because the waiter informed me how they usually cook it and gave me the option to have seared or kept on the grill just a bit longer (which I opted to do). I recommend getting something different, be more adventurous. Based on the tacos you can't go wrong. My son had the chicken enchiladas which were really good too. Atmosphere was very nice, too. It felt more upscale but not pretentious. They just treat you so well.

5 disappointments at happy hour. We had fun get together at this restaurant for the happy hour menu and six people who came to enjoy happy hour that included the food and prices. We made it clear that was our purpose in dining there as we ordered from the separate happy hour menu. We also made it clear that one person did not want any spice or heat in their food. So a good server would respect these wishes. The one person ended up the spicy heat in their food. We had Margaritas and asked if they could add Grand Marnier and she said they could. However she did not say that would not be on the happy hour menu and the Margarita and the addition were at full price. The host of this family get together ended up with the hiccups from the spicy food. Although they brought an spiceless taco as replacement, the damage had been done. When the check came it was a shock to us all. We asked and were told that our Margaritas were not included in happy hour prices. A tip to servers and owners. If a table is fawning over your happy hour menu, help them navigate and know your food. We paid the bill and left.
