Oh, Dios mío! The minute I sauntered into Uno Mas Taqueria, I could feel the very essence of the cosmos focusing its energies on this cozy Mexican retreat. The moment I crossed the threshold, memories of my abuela’s kitchen flooded back, the air steeped in a symphony of spices and the enticing smoky aroma of roasting meats.
Tacos, the shining stars! Let me tell you about the Smoked Chicken tacos, mi amigo. Each morsel, a divine parcel of flavor, encased in a tortilla lovingly handcrafted with an artisan’s touch. The chicken, a symphony of smoky tenderness that made my heart sing rancheras of joy.
The Grilled Shrimp tacos, ahh! Fresh shrimps, grilled to perfection, their smoky-sweet enough to make your soul dance the rumba.
And the Carne Asada? Each bite, a tribute to the noble tradition of Mexican cuisine, the grilled beef bursting with a savory richness, singing a serenade to my taste buds. Pork Belly tacos, oh, the wonder! Every nibble, like biting into a cloud of porky deliciousness that melted on my tongue, whispering tales of culinary craftsmanship.
Barbacoa, oh, the barbacoa! Juicier than the ripest mango in the heart of Veracruz, so tender, it made my heart weep with joy. each bite was like a passionate tango on my tongue.
And the staff, they were the warm embrace of Mexican hospitality, their service as smooth as a shot of top-shelf mezcal. They moved with a rhythm reminiscent of a cheerful mariachi band, a harmony that only added to the symphony of the experience.
In conclusion, Uno Mas Taqueria, you made my heart dance the jarabe tapatío and my soul sing a joyful corrido. It’s not just a meal, it’s a celebration of Mexico’s culinary heritage. Uno Mas? “Sí, por favor, a million times yes!” For a symphony of flavors that sets your taste buds alight, it’s got to be here. ¡Viva Uno...
Read moreSo.... the problem with Uno Mas.
Atmosphere: stale, boring, un-inviting unless you're on the patio,.
Service: Normal, expected, friendly, good.
Food: inconsistent. it can be great one day and terrible the next... But, their designs, aren't exactly great.
You could order a taco that you would expect ingredients involved in and be disappointed to discover, the ingredients associated with said taco are less than what you would like. You might feel jipped.
The meat might taste delicious, or it could be dry... There isn't consistency with the delivery.
My Fiance and I stopped going here because overall, we felt it was underated, over priced and just couldn't keep up with quality.
Like most places in FoCo. No one is consistent or dependable.
A restaurant in my opinion should provide 24/7 the same quality no matter if it's a weekday or weekend, because if the price stays the same, then why shouldn't the food?
And the problem with Fort Collins is that they change Chefs based on weekend or weekday but don't discount the food delivered. They keep the better chef for the weekends and the weaker chef for the weekday. Then shouldn't that reflect the cost?
Yes, I know and am well aware of the review rating. The review ratings in Fort Collins or inflated due to the college kids. College kids clearly have not tasted quality food in their lives and don't seem to know how to cook as they are the quantity of the reviews left and the reason why all of these mediocre businesses stay afloat and don't grow as a business.
I'm personally done with the restaurant quality in Fort Collins and condemn 90% of the restaurants here. Literally, if you have lived in Denver long enough you'll know for a fact that Fort Collins food is absolute...
Read moreCame here for diner tonight. Food was ok. Barbacoa was tender but over filled on the taco. My 2 star rating is for the fact that a dog was seated next to us. I for one find it gross to listen to your dog slurping its water while im eating. RUDE, and the fact i was charged 5% cost of business fee or rather "i cant run my business fee" nothing on the menu indicating that fee and honestly people understand if you have to raise the menu price for an item that the cost has gone up on but for you to just slap a 5% upcharge on the whole bill is lazy and means you raise all your prices not just the stuff that went up. I work hard for my money and those of us who were BORN here are being priced out of everything. I found it tacky and rude. And on top of that slap in the face i had to listen to that dog gulping its water and whining. I dont care if you love your dog A RESTURANT IS NOT THE PLACE FOR IT I dont have dogs partly because i hate those sounds barking whining gulping down water sloppily i donot like it in my own home much less while im PAYInG to eat at a resturant with over priced tacos. Not to mention the dog circling around in the leaves next to the owners table looking for a place to piddle. Im a cat person, do i bring my cat in to jump up on your table or tip water glasses? no i leave my pets at home because that would be rude. also if you spread the barbacoa you stuffed into 1 taco into 2 or even 3 you probably wouldnt have to charge your customers that idk how to run my own business fee. Its bad enough resturants make guests pay their waitstaffs wages without you just lazily deciding every single thing i bought deserves a 5% increase. 😒 I wont be back. Updating to 1 star because the cowardly owners never...
