Decent options to choose from in the store for office furniture, but a horrible customer experience. We found a desk, hutch, and office chair we liked, so we called in to see if they were in the store. Not all of them were, so we decided to order them to be delivered to the store for us to pick up. Apparently, that can't be done over the phone, but instead on a kiosk in the store.
We go back to the store to order, and decided instead to have it delivered home since the boxes would not all fit in the car when picking them up. We made sure they could deliver to a 3rd floor apartment, and we were told it was no problem. We were also told it would all be delivered within 6 business days. This was on a Sunday, and the delivery came Tuesday.
The delivery people came, no one was there, so they left and called my husband. They also told him that they were not allowed to carry the deliveries up by themselves, so someone needed to be home in order to sign for it and help carry stuff. This caused a huge issue during the day to get him home to help, when he was working and had to adjust his schedule. You tell us 6 business days, and are there less than 48 hours later without warning?
Then, we are also told the chair we ordered and paid for was not in stock at the warehouse. We called the store and since they had a couple left, we asked if they could hold one for us to pick up that evening. The answer was a no, even though they had us order from the kiosk there, said it was in stock in the warehouse, and we had already paid. Needless to say, we finally got them to say yes.
Luckily, we were able to talk to one of the managers/assistant managers at the location in person, and they did apologize for everything, but it was still very frustrating. I like the furniture we purchased, but would likely choose a different store for any future purchases for...
Read moreI sold a package on ebay and brought it here to ship. I emailed them the shipping label and their employee printed out the wrong label and shipped my package to the wrong place. Staples claims won't help, staples customer service won't help, UPS won't help. Staples admits that this is their mistake, but they have been avoiding making it right. My package was worth $250 and the buyer did not get it. I did not get paid for it, the funds are being held by ebay because my buyer didn't get their item. After finally meeting the general manager, who was disrespectful and condescending, I was told he'd need to put me in contact with his district manager and loss prevention manager, which I think was a lie because they never called me. I'm now filing against them in small claims court.
Don't spend money here. They are incompetent and disrespectful. Dealing with staples is the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any business in my entire life.
I went back to the location trying to find company information so I'd know where to send the court summons to. They were obviously unhelpful, but I thought it was especially interesting that they don't even display a license to collect sales tax. That's a huge no-no, but the store is run by an overpaid toddler so it...

I purchased an office chair at 3:30 PM, and the staff brought the chair from the back for me. Upon getting home and starting the assembly, I discovered a manufacturer defect—no problem, it happens. I called the store, confirmed they had another in stock, and was told I could come in for an exchange. I returned with the defective part and my receipt, just under an hour after purchasing the chair.
To my surprise, the same staff who assisted me earlier refused to exchange just the defective part, insisting I bring the entire chair back. This was despite the fact that they had the exact same product in the back and had brought it out for me earlier. One employee even mentioned, “It was his job on the line.” When I tried to reason with them, I was told I’d have to come back tomorrow.
Now I have to haul a partially assembled chair back during my lunch hour just to swap out a single defective part. I don’t live in the same town, and this is far from convenient.
As someone who has worked in retail and service for decades, I find this completely unacceptable. There is absolutely no reason why the exchange couldn’t have been handled on the spot. This was an unnecessary inconvenience and reflects poorly on the store’s approach to...
