Had about 10 hours to kill after getting off the cruise and our flight leaving. The girlfriend and I decided to book a last minute fishing charter the day before. Colton was easy to deal with and we were able to pick a time that worked best for us. Not just the generic 1-5 time slot lots of charters have. We caught a bunch of different species of fish. Including black fin tuna, barricuda, lizard fish and something called a bonito. Was hoping for a mahi mahi. Had a few chances at some but no luck. But that's why it's called fishing not catching. Overall was a good time. Great weather. I fish all the time in Minnesota but know nothing about ocean fishing. COLTON IS THE MAN !!!!! Today on a half day trip we caught over 30 Mahi Mahi. When we got to the dock Capt Colton was already there and ready to go. We started out the day troiling for king fish and Sail fish we started catching fish immediately, then we went offshore looking for Mahi-Mahi after about 20 minutes of looking around, we found a large branch floating in the water and Captain. Colton said that there was a lot of mahi-mahi around the branch. So we started fishing and we caught one right after another. We must’ve been in that school for at least one hour, it was awesome one of the best experiences of my life. it was the craziest thing once we hooked one we had to leave that one in the water so the rest of them stayed around. Birthday Celebration done right!! 🎉 All I wanted for my birthday was to go deep-sea fishing. My party and I were a bit nervous about this size of the boat at first, since we were new to this.Captain Colton made us feel comfortable, safe and at ease by giving us a short safety walk-through, including showing us where life vests were, prior to leaving the dock and he continued paying attention to safety throughout our time with him. He is very hospitable, patient, helpful and clearly has a passion for what he does. Fishing was awesome! We went home with dinner, so we’ll definitely be riding with him again soon....
