Short Review: Men - ask for Nick if you want the best haircut of your life. No BS.
Full Review: I very rarely write reviews and only do so if I had an absolutely amazing experience or an experience so bad that I feel others should know. I’m a tough critic and honestly if I could give my stylist, Nick, above 5 stars, I would. I have tried so many high end salons in SoFla, NJ & NY, with some charging $100+ for a Men’s cut and my experience today with Nick has been the best hands down. I have a lot of very thin hair that also curls once it gets to a certain length. This means when my hair is short it looks like it’s thinning and when it’s long it looks very off. Very frustrating to say the least. Nick managed to fix my hair with cut and styling techniques that makes my hair look 10x fuller! He is so passionate and dedicated to his craft, and still takes the time to explain exactly what he is doing to your hair, what is going on with the hair and how to maintain the look. He is honestly a magician and I was shocked that no other stylist I have ever seen has been able to solve my problem! I travel between NJ and FL often, and will always plan my trips accordingly as I cannot get my hair cut anywhere else now. He is also very generous and more concerned about the client being happy instead of seeing how fast he can get someone in and out. He went above and beyond in all aspects.
I know this is a long review but Nick really deserves the praise. I saw a close friend afterward that immediately said he didn’t recognize me initially. Truly amazing. The salon is nice too, great location and no complaints about anything. Service was on point. Price wise everything is very fair for a nice salon and I would pay way more than $35 for the work Nick...
Read moreSteer clear from Rodrigo. His English is deplorable and he will do what he feels fit, not what you’re asking for. I came in for partial highlights, he instead set me backwards and turned my hair red. The owner tried fixing what he did and still left red undertones, which is the last thing I wanted. I was sent an e-mailed receipt with no explanation of the $300 I had just spent. I tried calling back to discuss my hair and the owner had no interest in correcting. Instead, she blamed it on prior hair dresser’s work. There’s a reason their rating is a 4.3, don’t just read the good reviews, read the negative reviews too. More importantly, stick to someone who does speak English.
Response to your lies: No it was not discussed prior to him touching my hair. It was immensely difficult to communicate with him and I clearly advised him that all I wanted were blonde highlights to correct the roots. He turned my hair red and your husband tried to correct the mess he made. The lower portion of my hair has no bearing on the roots, which is what I was looking to correct. So let’s stick to the truth here, I have been honest about my experience. You are not being truthful, and I completely understand now, why your salon has a 4.2 rating. I tried giving you an opportunity to correct but you did not care to fix or remove the red he left in my hair. If he did speak English and understood what I was asking for, we wouldn’t be having this unnecessary conversation. But he also refused to correct the mess he made, so yes, it was an overall uncomfortable experience. I now have to pay someone else to fix it. Also, it wasn’t Supercuts, lol, it was Hair Cuttery and they charge as much as your...
Read moreI was so exited to dye my hair there. But had a bad experience. Originally I was going for darker roots and a nice golden cooper towards the end. Instead I got red/orange roots and extremely dark ends. Before we started I asked the hairstylist very nicely to try to avoid an orange/red color and she said that everything will look good, if I knew she can’t avoid that color I would’ve stopped the process even before we started so I don’t end up not liking it. At first she did tell me that we won’t get the ends as light as in the picture I showed and I understood and appreciated that she told me before we started. 430$ went to waste. I went back and explained the hairstylist what’s going on and she rescheduled me back to do my roots again so their not red, but won’t be going back might as well dye it at home by myself. When she finished my hair I wasn’t disappointed at first, I saw that it’s not exactly what I wanted but it looked good on me so I went along with it. I was happy as long as I looked good with the color. But then the next day I washed my hair and the color changed completely, my roots became orange/red and tonight I washed my hair the 3rd time since I went there and there is still a loooot of color coming out of my hair, how is that even possible? What products do you use ? I will attach the pictures, before , right after at the salon, and after the 3rd wash. Honestly I just...
