Lotus H2O Spa — Local services in Fort Lauderdale

I came in for a massage and paid $120, plus a $20 tip via Zelle. While the massage itself was fine, at the end there was uncomfortable pressure and haggling around tipping. As I was sending the tip, the lady is looking over my shoulder, saying $20 is too low, making faces and shaking her head, she asked me to increase it to $35. I explained it was already sent and it’s about 18% of the total, but that wasn’t the end of it.

After I left, I was flagged down OUTSIDE halfway to my car and called back in, only to be asked again if I had tipped. I had to pull up the Zelle receipt to prove it, at which point they claimed they hadn’t checked. It was embarrassing and unnecessary, especially in front of other customers. Tipping should never feel like a negotiation. I left feeling more stressed than when I walked in. Maybe raise the prices or add a mandatory service charge, because this was totally unprofessional. I just experienced one of the best massages I have ever had! I do a lot of traveling so I was very tired and stiff when I arrived in Ft Lauderdale. A friend had recommended Lotus H2O Spa in downtown Ft Lauderdale so I thought I see if they had an opening. They were booked but I left them my phone number in case they had a cancelation. Lucky me, two hours later they called and I was able to get in. The massage was extremely relaxing and was just what I needed. It was so calming that I actually fell asleep during the massage. Since I do travel so much I have tried many massage locations and this was the best I have experienced. My only regret was that I don't live close by because I would book a massage...

This is my first review ever and I had such a good experience that I felt obligated to help them out with my honestly opinion. I’ll probably never go to any other massage place in my life. Im a bigger guy who is active so I look for good pressure and working out knots and tightness. Jenny has the award for best massage of my life, and I’m not kidding she got in there and used better pressure then men have tried.
