Wanted to try a new place out to eat. As always Google does not disappoint 😉😋 Undeniably one of the best noodle bowls Ive ever have had!
First things first...SERVICE 5 stars...would give 10!! but Google won't allow me so here are my stars 😁😁 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
When we walked in, we got greeted immediately and asked if we needed any help with the menu! And guess who the person who helped us was... uhhh the general manager/co owner Alex. So amazingly helpful and freaking awesome🤗
Then we asked what they recommeded and then we based our meal off those answers☺ The staff was incredibly friendly and down to earth. We had some fun laughs and we all are FOODIES so we shared new spots to eat.. more yummy food later?! Ugh DUH. YES PLEASE and THANK YOU 😜🙃🤤🤤🤤
Myself and my girlfriend tried 3 menu options :) Miso noodle Soup This was my order and O my Word. So much flavor and guess what? If you want it spicy just ask for some sauce on the side ;-) Noodles were just the right texture, they used pork belly for the meat, pork miso broth and the egg mixed with the scallions/beansprouts was a match made in heaven! Highly recommend if you don't want too spicy 🤪😻
Bulgogi rice bowl This is what my girl ordered! She says it was a bit overwhelming for the first few bites.. but after that it was on like donkey Kong!! ☺ So many flavors that attack your tongue at once 🤩 from the marinated beef ribeye then going to the mix of yummy veggies to the ending palate of the homemade house sauce!
Buddha mix (dumplings) variety style ....Now onto the dumplings.... My personal favorite was the pork! (I mean I did order pork belly haha) 🐷🐖🐷 Then my second was the veggie, lots of green power in those babies, very flavorful! 🥦🥕🍄 Coming in third was the chicken, who doesn't love chicken right?! 😉🐥 that's all that needs to be said. Last but certainly not least.. le Shrimp! 🦐I'm not a huge fish person but it wasn't bad at all, I just think the shrimp filled the dumplings all the way. SO once I made it swim in there sauce it was ahhmazing🤣😆
So all in all.. would I go back. HECK TO THE YES. If you wanna try a new fusion between Chinese, Vietnamese and Latin influences then give them a shot. You shall not be...
Read moreThe restaurant itself is cute and small. If I hadn't had Lucky Cat Street Eatery's food prior to eating here, it probably would have wowed me more. The food flavor was decent but didn't have too much of an authentic taste? I had the spicy miso and the protein meat that it comes with is a ropa vieja which is interesting but it's like $6 more to get pork belly which is more authentic. Even now the lingering flavor feels more Latin than Asian. Also not the spicy I was expecting. It was like a few red pepper flakes spicy where you get the taste of one and cough a little bit but it quickly passes and you only get spicy feel when you get a red pepper flake. The restaurant is a do it yourself type of place with barely any service and the lowest tip they asked for is 20% which to me is crazy considering I had to place my own order at a kiosk, get my own number, place my number on the little wire stand, and when I asked for a fork they told me to get up and go get it. The only service I had was bringing my food to the table. I didn't feel bad leaving my plates on the table when I left which usually I feel weird about. I also didn't like that I had to purchase my Boba drink separately . It all felt very disjointed. They should allow an option to buy a boba at the kiosk as well as buying at the boba stand separately for the convenience of their customers. I had the strawberry boba tea with mango popping boba with medium sweetness. It started out okay but tasted very bitter when 3/4 of the drink was finished. I didn't like that I couldn't finish my drink. My experience literally finished with a bitter taste in my mouth. Overall a good place to get ramen in the area but I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat there if you...
Read moreWe’ve lived in Fort Lauderdale for 2 years and there is no restaurant we’ve frequented more than Temple Street since we’ve been here. The staff is always super friendly and service is as prompt as any place in the area. On a busy weekend in season, you simply cannot beat Temple if you want to eat in less than an hour.
The menu is extensive and reasonably priced and you can hardly go wrong with your choice. I’ve yet to encounter a truly bad item on the menu, only items that have okay days instead of great days from time to time.
Spicy miso ramen is the biggest home run on the menu on its best days, the Buddha bowl and chicken katsu are always a healthy leaning option that will still leave you full… the apps are also awesome. The edamame falafel bites are an “every single time” item for us. The veggie dumplings are amazing (you will be unsticking them if you get takeout - dive in with a fork)… if the SPAM roll is even a blip on your radar, do it!
I can’t speak to the boba bar as that’s not my thing but it seems quite popular from my observations. If you dine in they have a few local beers on tap which is something I always enjoy.
I can’t endorse these guys enough… one day when we leave Fort Lauderdale, Temple Street is one of the only spots we will truly miss. Place...
