I've never felt the need to leave a review for anything before, until this one. So I didn't know how until I finally broke down and asked my 20 year old daughter 😅. Because of that, this is from over a week ago, but i figured better late than never. My lifelong friend and I came out from New York to Fort Lauderdale for a week, for her last birthday in her 40's. We had such a blast doing several excursions. But none even compared to the time we had on our excursion with Fort Lauderdale's Glass Bottem Boat and Snorkeling; With Captain Nick and Scuba Expert Jackson. Captain Nick's driving was making the days pretty choppy weather feel smooth with just enough fun, the 2 of them docked the boat as if they were parking a car just as smoothly. ( I never once felt sea sick 😅 ) and ladies boy was Captain Nick something fabulous to look at! But don't worry younger ladies, (Or older ladies that just enjoy admiring the younger guys lol ) because we had our host and Scuba Expert Jackson and not only was he the epitome of perfection to look at ladies and charming to boot but he made the trip excellent. He was knowledgeable, funny, attentive to everyone on the boat from the toddlers to the elderly. He made sure he kept everyone engaged and aware of what was going on and kept it fun. And when we stopped to snorkel in the choppy water ( my friend and I stayed on the boat and watched lol ) he swam around so effortlessly from person to person that needed any tips yet constantly kept a watch on the whole group. Even plucking like 3-4 people out of the water before they barely even knew they needed any help. And meanwhile all the ladies still on the boat were giggling in jealousy wishing our poor swimming selves had gone snorkeling now so he could've "saved" us too! Hindsight is always 20/20 right ladies? 😟 But seriously besides the beautiful men, There were beautiful sights, beautiful waters, and beautiful sea life. So if you want a worry free, laid back, entertaining, and all around good time spend a couple hours with Nick and Jackson at Fort Lauderdale Glass Bottem Boat and Snorkeling. Make sure you request them by name ( and ladies make sure you tip these Hotties well, they are sooo...
Read moreHad a great time on my 2 tank dive but honestly what ruined it for me was one of the divers on the boat- apparently instructor level qualified, but his behavior underwater said otherwise. He was so awful and off putting with the sea life-I really wish the two guides I was with that witnessed it all, had mentioned something.
This man was constantly kicking up the sand so much, he was lost in a cloud of sand, he would dig and touch everything, chase puffers and try to put his hands on them. One of our guides pointed out a sleeping nurse shark under a ledge, and this man barged in and kept grabbing on and sticking his head forcefully, lifting up so much sediment. I wanted to get a peaceful look at the shark, but because of him I carried on elsewhere.
One of the lobsters he caught, one of the tentacles broke off- on accident of course but I would never want to be in the water near him again because he was disrupting my zen.
Oh, and of course we kept having to end our dives because of him. I had 2200psi left at when we had to start ascending after 38 min because he was out of air. The bad thing about coming solo to this type of thing was that I got stuck with a group and people like him were in it.
All of the crew were absolutely friendly and helpful and accommodating (I joined last minute), but I do believe the crew should educate people when they are doing something wrong / not following good...
Read moreI’m currently part of the Veterans Diving Program through VR&E, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to train than Sea Experience Diving School. From the start, Rick and Bob have been absolutely outstanding. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and they truly care about every diver they work with. Even with a large group, they always made time to help each of us individually and made sure everyone felt confident, safe, and supported in the water.
Their passion for diving and teaching really shows, and it made the entire experience something I’ll never forget. I’m extremely grateful for their patience, encouragement, and dedication throughout the program.
The dive shop itself is excellent too! A great place to get top-quality gear and advice. I can’t wait to pick up my new Garmin from them soon.
I’m truly thankful for everything Rick, Bob, and the whole Sea Experience team have done. I’d dive with them again anytime and would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, welcoming, and knowledgeable...
