If you like over priced vegetables and fruit. Definitely.... Go there.
If you like Handmade crafts by local artists. Yes, go there. However the selection isn't the best, the vendors are great. It's just the selection needs improving.
If you like vintage to new sterling silver jewelry. That is mostly mass produced in China with very little vintage items and a very poor selection of overpriced pieces. You should Definitely, most DEFINITELY go there.
The management runs a poor event with no selection, same vendors almost every week with little change. And as many times as we have been there looking for Antiques as stated in the advertising for the event. WE are still looking, well not as much as this event is no longer on our radar. I mean, who wants to see the same stuff every week. So, NO antiques.....
Oh wait, the tourists that stop by don't have a clue. And they are on vacation with money to spend.
It's just sad the management doesn't want the quality that shows the Fort Lauderdale area in the best light that they could.
Have fun and remember if you don't buy the item you see one weekend, you can go back and get it the next weekend or the next or the...
Read moreWhile walking on A1, I came across this park multiple times on my walk/jog. It’s beautiful both day and night. It sits on the corner of Las Olas. The park at night seems to be a skate park for blading and boards. It’s also nice lit space to catch the evening breeze. There are cute seating areas, a restroom, electric bike rentals, and shaded spots. Most hotels on the strip, if you are staying there as a guest, offer discounted bike rentals.
Nearby History & Culture Directly across the street is a lovely black history plaque about the courageous fight by NAACP members to desegregate Broward County Beaches. About 250 feet away, on the beach by the volleyball courts, in front of the Maren and DC Alexander Park is one of the two Fort Lauderdale Beach chairs. It’s worth a short walk if you are looking for a nice photo prop. At DC Alexander Park is a tribal American Indian sculpture that is worth taking a photo of or reflecting on while noting the contributions of cultures often hidden.

Read moreThe Rink at Las Olas was a complete disappointment! We went with a group and our children. The set up was cute. However, had I payed attention to the 2 families I heard complaining about this being a waste of money I would have NEVER paid for 3 of us to skate. The poly material floor was not compatible with the skates. There was no skating or gliding across the rink. You basically tip toe around and around until your legs can't take it anymore! I'd like a refund for 2 of the 3 I paid for. My child enjoyed running back and forth on ice skates with his friends. I would not pay or return to this again I'd prefer to find a real rink and do real ice skating as I have done in the past. $65 wasted especially during the holidays I could have saved my money hard...
