Booked & reserved a party of 15 last night for my birthday & a coworkers going away party, had been in contact with Brian (apparently the manager) personally via initial phone call & text message throughout the week to confirm headcount & time, which never changed. I originally chose this place after having a few other options because Brian had told me he would be there personally, he'd make sure my group was taken care of, he even asked the general age of the party saying he'd send over shots on him & make sure we had a great time, far from the truth & what happened. Arrived on time was told by some guy in a hat at the door our "reserved" table wasn't ready & it'd be 15 to 20 minutes because other people were still eating, so obviously they don't know how reservations work. My party proceeded to wait outside since the place is so small it wasn't really an option to stay inside. When we finally got seated & had orders taken a full hour had passed since our "reservation" time. During that time I had asked to speak to Brian multiple times & the waitress said he was there in the back & kept running off to the kitchen as if to find him & at least 4 times came back with excuses, it wasn't hard to see he wasn't there & that we were being lied to & given the run around. We had to continually flag the waitress down to even begin to order & multiple people in my party had to ask for the table waters to be refilled throughout the night. The guy in the hat (I unfortunately didn't get his name) seemed to somewhat be in charge, however I dealt with him at the door initially with him being not very pleasant. He did say he wasn't Brian because I asked that immediately, however he never greeted us, came over, introduced himself, asked how we were doing, NO ONE DID, we had one waitress who couldn't handle things, & she did the same thing just brought out food & had to be flagged down. Some of the worst service I've seen, I can't even say service because it was really non existent. The food came out so staggered that half my table was actually done with their food before the other half even got theirs. The party had to order drinks, apps, & food all at the same time since we had been sitting around waiting so long they figured they wouldn't get it & no one would come around. Believe me if I hadn't have had a whole party of people coming from different locations we would have walked out & left. The food portions were small not as described, shrimp was over done, drinks watered down & flavor wasn't there couldn't taste any alcohol. The QR code that everyone has to scan & look at on their phone in order to see the menu doesn't even have all the options as when you look up the menu online, it's reduced, we couldn't even find what liquors they had available or any pricing for them. They did tell us right off the bat that they had no pepperoni, but after seeing the service & everything else not surprised. When I went to the bar to have a birthday shot with my brother in law since waiting at the table was pointless, bartender was abrupt, even though it was just the two of us up there & we just wanted to know what whiskey was available. The music was someone playing it from their phone. Our table was unfortunately right next to the speaker, it was staticy & you could tell when the person walked too far away it would break up, we actually laughed about it though it was so ridiculous. At one point you heard the bloop of it being disconnected & then reconnected. They would only accept 5 separate credit cards & orders for the party. People came in behind us & guy in the hat went over to them was joking, they got seated & got drinks & food immediately, this is what people in my party brought to my attention. We were completely ignored! Won't recommend or go back. Don't go for a party! Hope Brian & the owner see this. Disappointed &...
Read moreI usually don’t post negative experiences at establishments because I have empathy for things that happen in the restaurant industry. However, with this experience I’ve never felt more humiliated. I supported this business at the soft opening and brought large groups of friends in a couple times. Our party was usually the sole group in the establishment. I’m currently 5 months pregnant, and date night has not been in the cards for hubby and myself in awhile. We decided to stop in Blue Steel around 7:30 PM. There was a full bar of people, and 3 maybe 4 tables taken. Because it was somewhat empty, I requested a high top but the host stated the whole back row of tables was reserved for a large party. We understood, and sat at the first table she seated us at by the front door. We ordered apps and 2 pizzas to share and try. Unknowingly, a few minutes after my friends walk in, and told me they heard of blue steel and decided to stop for pizza after shopping. They were seated right away in front of the stage area and had no reservations. While eating, a comedy host came by who was pleasant, Introduced himself, and asked us to relax and enjoy the show that starts at 8 PM. The large party showed up, the restaurant was near to capacity at this point, and the comedy show started. The server immediately wanted to bring us our bill and it felt rushed. We wanted desserts, and while the show has started (before getting the desserts) the host doesn’t ask us- she tells us that our table is reserved, and that we must move to the bar. We explained that our desserts had not come out yet. A few minutes pass by and we are told 3 more times by a male server to move to the bar area.. WHERE THERE WERE NO SEATS! Mind you I am a paying customer.. trying to enjoy my meal at a table the host sat me at, while the the host and server are trying to move myself (PREGNANT) to a standing bar area in the middle of a comedy show?!! I was not made aware of any reservations or time restrictions at the table where I was seated. This was not a paid/ticketed show. This is a restaurant with a free show on Thursdays. When I expressed my concern to the server he made a scene and told me “it is not his fault that the table is reserved.” But what, it’s MY fault that I was seated originally at an unreserved, or if it actually was reserved, table? Mind you, this is right in front of the guests that he wanted to sit at our current table. How embarrassing!! I see obviously that table flipping and tips were the main goal here.. but how is that possible DURING a comedy show? I have never in my life been so rushed through a meal or asked to move mid meal and during a free comedy show to a standing area. The friends who had shown up after myself had no reservation and stayed the entirety of the show. How I was treated was disgraceful and just wrong. The food and atmosphere were great, but Unfortunately this awful experience put such a negative taste in my mouth I will not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Blue Steel Pizza and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a delightful meal. The decor was tastefully done, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the restaurant's design.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food! Every dish that was brought to our table was a culinary masterpiece. The menu offered a wide variety of options, catering to all tastes and types of pizza you can't get in South Florida. Each bite was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. It was clear that the chefs at Blue Steel Pizza are truly passionate about their craft, because the food came out like art work.
But what really stood out during my visit was the exceptional service provided by our waitress, Bella. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. From recommending the perfect dessert to accommodating our special requests, she was an absolute delight to interact with. Her warm personality and genuine enthusiasm for her job added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. Service with a smile.
I would highly recommend Blue Steel Pizza to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether it's a romantic date night or a special celebration, this restaurant is sure to exceed your expectations. The outstanding food, combined with the impeccable service, makes it a true gem in the dining scene.
