Next Step Day Room — Local services in Fort Smith

While I was staying at Esther House, I was disrespected by the other ladies in the house on the daily basis. I’ve tried to reach out to my case worker because I was told that bullying isn’t tolerated but yet nothing was done about any of it and it just kept happening also I was falsely accused of things. Ladies there need a wake up call because there isn’t no need to disrespect someone else and falsely accuse me. I don’t recommend going to the Esther House if you don’t want to be mistreated. Amazing! Wanted to do something to be of help to people in need and we were only in town for a few more hours. My son Josh found Next Step on line, called and talked with John and he invited us to come there and help with preparing the noon meal for the homeless in that area. Both Josh and I were surrounded by amazing people that love what they do-serving others! Thank you Cheryl for letting us be a part of your "team!" You all are the BEST! And Happy Birthday to Helen!
