My experience with everyone else was normal and polite, however, I will never attend this location again. I always attend this location because is next to my house and when I took my niece there last night for her birthday I have to say that my experience at the gravity ropes with the employee strapping you was unacceptable. I purchased 2 all play passes just to go on the gravity ropes and we were waiting in line behind 6 people, 3 girls and 3 boys in that order. I was telling my niece that if the little girl at the front can go that she can too since my niece was slightly taller than her. Well the employee seem to either know the older girl in the group of what I’m assuming was 3 sisters he let them go and he stayed talking with the oldest sister for a minute after strapping her so it seemed like he either knew her and was just cool with her. Meanwhile we’re still patiently waiting which took at lot considering my 8yr old niece is like a walking ball of energy. She calmly waited until it was our turn. Then all of the sudden he brought out the measuring ruler and said that she couldn’t go just yet because of the height requirement. Which that’s completely understandable because those are their rules, however, he let the little girl in the group of sisters before us go with no issue just because he seemed to know the oldest sister or for whatever other reason other than the little girl met the height requirement(which she didn’t because the little girl was actually slightly smaller than my kid). I cannot express enough how upset this made me because it did feel like some sort of discrimination (and I’m not referring to height) and not to mention that it was a waste of money since I just had to distract her by going to the arcades instead. I tried to shake it off and move on when I was there because I didn’t want to ruin her birthday by speaking up when I was there but I just feel like that was disrespectful and unacceptable. And they have cameras in there so they can easily just roll back the tapes and see the injustice that the employee did. You can’t just pick and choose who you want to measure. It should be the same...
Read moreOur party of 7 visited this location last week (on a Wed.). We needed a place that offered fun activities for everyone (Three kids ages 10, 13, 15. One young adult age 18. Three adults 40+). We agreed that Main Event seemed like it had a little bit of everything that we all enjoyed. I decided to check the website in search of any specials they were offering. To my amazement, I found one that ended up being a great deal. Before you go, keep in mind there is no pre purchasing online. You must pay for your passes at the location (we picked the early time slot.. arrived just before noon... and left a little after 4:00.. this was plenty of time..). And keep in mind each store in the metroplex offers different attractions. So make sure to browse the locations to find the ones that suit your liking best. Also, if you plan to bowl, you will have to pay for shoe rentals (discounted for only a few dollars each). Arcade games are not included in this deal but if you sign up for their emails you will get a game card for 30 minutes of playtime (non ticket winning games). Okay enough technical stuff... How about I fill you in on the fun stuff. Let me just say....WE HAD A BLAST!! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US!!! We bowled, played laser tag, shot pool, climbed through the ropes obstacle course/zipline, ate (quesadillas were awesome) and some of us played arcade games with the free 30 minute game cards. I really couldn't be happier with the whole experience! The facility was clean and well put together (which made the ease of access to all activities quite simple). Employees were knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to answer all of my questions without assistance (this impressed me). The atmosphere was lively and exciting and the noise level was not overbearing. We loved it all! Kudos to the company and management team!! When thinking of things to do with family and/or friends, that has a little bit of everything and at an affordable price, Main Event will be at the top of the list... Highly...
Read moreToday, I had a very bad experience with this location’s managers, while celebrating my son 6th BD. We had three different issues with the same lane#3 during less than 30 min play! Two issues were resolved nicely from regular staff members & we were eating dinner while they are fixing it. and in the third time which was a different issue- the lane was not counting correctly at all !!! One manager called “Jackson” came talking to me un-politely, zero customer service and in-front of my 3 kids which was really embarrassing for me!!!! He was talking in a rude way without even knowing the issue he was coming to resolve at all! He was telling me to push a button which it is not related to the issue at all!!! I decide I will not continue to talk with him as he does not even listen and preferred to get this discussion away from my kids!! By the way, one of the waitress was a witness of this unacceptable situation! I went to asked to talk with a different facility manager to solve the issue, the surprise that the other manager called “ Chris” came to me with a very offensive way and next to him Jackson, he seems that he doesn’t want to even listen to me or what I am saying at all! He was just concerned about giving me a complimentary hour which giving me the bad impression about the service in this location in general!!!! I believe that the managers need more customer service and communication skills trainings to talk with people nicely as we are going to have fun and entertain, not to get embarrassed and upset!!! Customer service is about how to treat people well and make their experience so good!! Thank you Main event for making my son 6th BD unforgettable...
