Today was the LAST time we will shop at this establishment. My daughters and I have shopped and purchased at Lawrences for the past 15 years. They have fun gifts and jewelry and were my go-to for Jon Hart. We were excited to stop in to find a gift for my older daughter.
I have worked for high-level customer service establishments. The number one rule is to acknowledge and welcome a customer. (Even Walgreens does that well). For the many times we have walked in, rarely, have we been greeted warmly.
For reference, my daughter and I were dressed nicely, not wearing large or baggy clothes or carrying bags that would make us look like shoplifters. We were both wearing jewelry similar to what they sell, yet I witnessed my daughter being followed in an obnoxious way all around the store. It was apparent that the person working the floor was watching her. My daughter even mentioned running outside to get a debit card from her father so she could make a purchase. Not once were we asked if we needed help. As my daughter looked at E Newton jewelry (this isn’t Cartier), she said the sales person was so close she could smell her breath. I suggested that wego to the nicer (red bricked stand alone store) down the street, we found similar items and had a much better experience. There are many great options in Fort Worth. If I was this business owner, I would...
Read moreI’ve been in the store many times before and have always had a problem with the store ladies following me and my friend around especially today (March 12) me and my friend our both minors so I understand why they would follow us but today was unbelievable with one of the ladies showing no respect and following me around it wasn’t till me and my friend left to meet her boyfriend outside was when a real problem happened one of the ladies followed us out and took a picture of us, when my friend went inside to ask if she did she got all defensive and wouldn’t show us the picture saying “no ma’am I’m not going to show you my phone” We never showed attitude or gave her a reason to do so we even left our backpacks by the front door as they have a sign outside that ask us to, but even with us being respectful and nice we didn’t receive the same. My friend never said she would have taken her phone and had told her she could hold the phone as long as we could see...
Read moreTerrible experience totally disrespectful and completely felt as if they were objectifying my friend and I. Following us and making me feel very uncomfortable I felt as if I couldn't stay at one spot because of the holes being burned into the back of my head by their eyes. Granted my friend and I are young so we can understand suspicion due to our age. One of the ladies even took a picture when we left but when I went back in to question she denied it and when I politely asked to see the photo she became livid and completely rude saying "no ma'am you will not see my phone" As if I was going to take it but in reality I even told her she could hold her phone I just wanted to see the picture since she claimed it wasn't of us and it was a car around their being suspicious and disturbing her. There is a policy for backpacks at the front desk in which we politely do anytime we go in...
