Four Seasons Steamboat — Local services in Four Corners States

Four Seasons Steamboat reached out to me after my trip ended and this original review was posted to resolve the check in issues we had during our stay. They offered apologies and reasonable consideration for the inconvenience. I appreciate how they took care of business and followed up with me. Thank you.

The lodge/rental was very nice, however the start experience of the trip was not. I advised the rental company (Four Seasons Steamboat) that I would be coming in after midnight to check in and they said no problem. They advised to pick up the key from a lockbox and proceed to the unit. When we arrived at the unit, the key did not work to access the elevator and the key did not open the room. I had to call a 24 hour security guard who was on the other part of Steamboat to come and unlock the unit. His master key did not access the elevators so we had to lug up all the family suitcases up the emeregency stairs to the unit. The next day I called Four Seasons Steamboat and let them know about the unpleasant check in with the key that did not work. A nice lady took my message and I asked to speak with a manager regarding what had happened. It has been a few days and no one has contacted me since I departed Steamboat. The security guy who opened the unit for us late at night said this happens quite often at this property. Not sure if its the property management at fault or the property (VACASA) regarding the key access. Regardless, I booked through Four Seasons Steamboat and If a customer picks up a key from the after hours lockbox it should be tested before given to the customer, especially if it is an issue that is happening often at that property. The unit we stayed at Trailhead lodge was quite nice otherwise. Too bad management did not follow through, communicate with me, and take responsibility...

Charlene is incredible! We decided at the last minute to go to Steamboat for Thanksgiving 2022 and the week after. Charlene found us availability in ski-in/ski-out condo. She was notified that the elevator wasn’t working (not a problem) but then the fireplace needed a part that wouldn’t come in in time for our stay. We live near Key West. We love having the fireplace while we are in Steamboat. Charlene quickly found another ski-in/ski-out condo. Got our paperwork to us immediately. She was so helpful with EVERYTHING. A place to have Thanksgiving dinner, we were able to reserve a table the day before. Table 79 restaurant was one of her suggestions. It was delicious! Charlene, got us a car service to pick up and drop off from Hayden airport, Ski rentals with a discount! The condo was very clean, well appointed, beautiful views, comfy furniture, a locker room that led to the slopes in about 5 steps! A coffee/hot chocolate station with a huge room with Chairs, couches a huge fireplace, a women’s and men’s shower/restroom. This all led out to a pretty large fire pit that you can turn on with your condo key fob. ALL of this was downstairs and so convenient and easy. Fantastic condo in Steamboat Springs. Unit C01 (Burgess Creek Bungalow) at 2700 Eagle Ridge Drive , our unit, had the most convenient parking spot we have ever had for a trip to the mountains (we ski a lot). The entrance to the condo is literally two feet from the back of the parking spot in the enclosed parking garage. Unloading for the visit was a breeze since you just open the back of the car and march everything inside. Took ten minutes and we were done.

We had three bedrooms which was perfect for our family of five...mom, dad, three teenage boys. The small pool and large, attached hot tub were just steps off the patio of this ground level condo. The well stocked kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. One odd thing if you end up renting this condo: my boys said they couldn't get the hot water in the shower to work in their bathroom. Turns out the supply lines have apparently been mixed up so when you rotate the shower handle counterclockwise to turn on the shower you can't move it to the normal hot position or you will just get cold water. Just barely turn it on and you will get the hot. Quirky!

Very close to the base of the ski area. Just a tad too far to walk comfortably with ski boots on but an easy two minute drive to the drop-off area.

Great, fun, easy weekend staying...
