Do NOT give this place your time or money. We walked in, the person taking the Togo orders who seemed to be the only person I could ask- when asked about tables looked around and said “we have table service just not sure what’s available” then after a few minutes of being left to figure it out myself and when I asked about an open high top the bar tender/possible manager ? walked around and said “can you at least wait till we can wipe it down?” Which we were totally fine to wait- then it was made clear attending to getting to that table was their last priority so we grabbed a couple bar seats were IGNORED, I understand a Friday night is expected to be busy but instead of saying “be right with you” or really anything to us instead stood around for a few min not doing anything for anyone, finally asked if we had ordered food yet I politely said “we haven’t actually ordered anything” he brought us menus then walked away , minutes later I asked if we could have two beers , he just looked at us said NOTHING and walked away again, after feeling EXTREMELY unwanted decided to leave - so sorry we were trying to give you our money, please excuse us for trying to patron your business.
I have been to plenty of other busy restaurants and am always happy to be patient and wait - as long as basic customer service skills of recognizing my existence - at the...
Read moreWe decided to try Blue Sage based upon the positive reviews we had seen via Google and Yelp. It was a relatively slow Wednesday night, and we ordered a single large pizza for dine in. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. The individual who took our order was surly and quite rude during our interaction. Our pizza took 45 minutes to arrive, and it would have taken longer had I not queried at the 30 minute mark as to what had become of our order. I had watched patiently as pizza upon pizza rolled out of their ovens for display in their "by-the-slice" case, with no sign of my order. One of the cooks admitted that our order had been lost (never actually put in) as the result of our cashier's incompetence. However, no shred of an apology was forthcoming. Instead, I was treated as a jerk for having said anything. Mistakes are not a big deal - we are all human. But I do expect people to whom I have given my money to at least offer a simple apology and treat me with some sense of dignity. None of that happened at Blue Sage Pizza. Unprofessional, incapable, unaccountable, and rude. Not impressed at all.
Oh - and the pizza was mediocre at best. You can get a better tasting pizza from Marco's for...
Read moreGood selection of pizza crust types (Chicago deep dish or regular), and even gluten free. Nice toppings and flavors, although my husband said the crust on the standard pizza was a little dry and flavorless (maybe it could use and olive oil bush over?). The Caesar salad was ok, definitely not a dressing made in-house. My main complaints were: 1) when I went in to pick up my food, I was the only person in the entire establishment, including wait persons and kitchen staff (~18 diners and 7 staff), who was wearing a mask! Wonder if anyone preparing my food might have coughed or sneezed on it. 2) The person at the cash register forgot to bring the salad I ordered, even though I am sure she could see I was being charged for it in register when I paid. I had to ask for it and might have left without it, if I had not remembered I had ordered the salad (or if another family member had called in the order and I hadn’t asked what was in the order before paying and walking out). She did grab it from the refrigerated cabinet when I asked her about it, but I could have easily walked out...
