I was just in the store with my two children 6 and 8. My eight year old wanted one of the toys at the store. He is autistic and unable to read. He is very well behaved and respectful. He started to take down the toy he wanted and the owner yelled at him to stop. It freaked him out so much. I was getting a bag of salt water taffy a few feet away. At first I ignored her comment because she was assisting other customers. When she was finished I told her her was unable to read her sign and asked if she could get the toy for him. She said “ parents should be with their children”. My son is very very respectful, I didn’t think having him 8 feet from me was an issue. She told me to get out. I told her she was being a jerk and that she runs a candy/toy store. Kids are her customers. This woman is MISERABLE. When we walked out a lady walked up to us and said “that woman is crazy” apparently she had a similar run in with her. The reviews clearly show she is unstable. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN IN THIS...

I bought saltwater taffy at this store last week. It was old and hard and pieces fell off when I opened it. In the stores website it states that they restock the taffy around every 3 weeks. That is false information. That taffy had been there all summer if not longer. I emailed the owner and told her about the taffy. I told her I was going to probably throw it away because I didn't want to break a tooth. Her response was rude and unprofessional for a business owner. This is her response:

Several family members and I visited this location and were highly disappointed with our experience. When we first walked in, both women behind the desk were messing around on their personal phones and took a long time to even greet us. Then, when we asked a question, one of the employees literally rolled her eyes at my child. Once we were ready to check out, the employee displayed irritation at our inquiring about the weight of our candy.
