Buyer beware! I was on an extended camping trip and my generator failed. I needed one quickly. I went to Sportsmans Warehouse in Prescott AZ and purchased a Honda eu2200i generator. It was the only one with a 30 Amp receptacle and was the display unit. I was assured it was brand new and I bought it. Now a week later with less than 30 hours on it I can honestly say I am frustrated and disappointed. From the first time I started it up, The Honda runs lousy. It surges. It's noisy. And it's irritating to use and own. Sportsmans would not help. All generator sales are final. Honda support has not responded to my service complaints. So, I'm stuck with a $1200 Honda generator that I need to get fixed. I'm camping another 10 days and am tolerating this thing

Bottom line...... Sportsmans wouldn't stand behind the Hondas they sell. And Honda products are apparently not worth the hype and expense. I should have bought a different unit for half the price and saved a bunch of money.

After being contacted by Sportsman’s Warehouse Regional Management, I am pleased to report that the issue with the Honda Generator has been resolved to my full satisfaction.

As such I am changing my review from 2 stars to 4 stars.

Thank you for your attention to my review. I will shop at Sportsman’s in the future. But my faith in Honda Generators is poor. I purchased a Harbor Freight Predator generator for half the money as the Honda 2200i and it beats...

My husband and I have been shopping at Sportsman's for years. Since our entire family are campers/hunters, we often give gift cards instead of presents, for Christmas and Birthdays. The customer service has usually been at least mediocre, and sometimes great. However, a few days ago we witnessed an employee and manager being so rude and disrespectful to a customer, that we will never spend a dime in any Sporstman's again. The young woman working at the gun counter repeatedly said she was sick. Her co-workers also kept saying how sick she was. First of all she was extremely rude to the young man purchasing a new rifle. When he asked her if she was having a bad day, she started yelling at him about how rude he was, right in front of her manager. (when confronted the manager ignored the customers objection to poor service, and did nothing).

*Please educate your staff on customer service and Covid-19 protocols. Besides being appalled by her attitude and the fact that she must feel it's ok to act this way in front of co-workers and managers, I have serious concerns about the sanitation of this establishment. In the age of the pandemic, it is shocking that someone seriously ill, would not stay home and choose to come to work and loudly proclaim how sick she is. Seriously?? This generation has forgotten that customers pay their wages, and good customer service is the foundation of a business. Our family is taking our business elsewhere, good...

Never write reviews or care enough about dealing with crummy people to complain about it, but this ticked me off and I hope the employees read it. I called the store to ask if they have an item in stock to make sure before I made the trip. I told them the brand, model, explicitly explained it’s a flippin’ baby/toddler carrier. I was told “we don’t have that type of thing, but let me transfer you to the fishing department” I’m like, what the heck does that have to do with the fish department, but ok. I explain to the guy what it is, “yeah we don’t have that try Amazon”, as if I was making up some crazy unique item, very obviously not wanting to help me. I hang up, my husband has the chance to stop in within the same hour of the call- right there, 2 in stock, Osprey Poco LT child carrier. In fact they had the Kelty carrier in stock too. It isn’t that hard to learn the product of your store. Spend more than 15 seconds looking into something for someone. The carrier is nearly $300, I know individual employees don’t care much for sales numbers, but I’m sure someone within the chain of command of Sportsman’s warehouse would like that sale.
