Jennifer Mattis at Ethan Allen (Brentwood, TN) is truly a DREAM to work with! My husband and I were looking for a new couch as we wait for our new home to be built. This meant that Jennifer only had our house layout to work from - no existing photos of the space whatsoever. But we felt her expertise throughout our shopping process. She guided us to colors and fabrics that would achieve our desired look. She steered us clear of pieces that would be too big for the space we’d have available. So while we went in with an eye for a super large sectional in leather - we clearly would have been disappointed had she let us go down that path and just completed an easy sale. Jennifer was so dedicated to helping us get exactly the look we wanted and with our goals in mind. My husband and I are natural researchers and rarely make a snap decision so we shopped around quite a bit before even coming to Ethan Allen but also kept ourselves open minded even once we stopped in. But Jennifer and her amazing design expertise and customer service is hands down what kept us coming back. She worked with us to develop a 3D plan and estimate so we could see what we were getting into. And when we couldn’t decide between our narrowed down colors and fabric choices, she even made herself available via phone and FaceTime even when she wasn’t scheduled to be in the store. She really went above and beyond our expectations in every way. We ended up with a great couch solution we know we will love and will last - and she made sure we got in time to take advantage of Ethan Allen’s 20% off sale! We are thrilled with our decisions to work with Jennifer and Ethan Allen at every turn - so much so that although we purchased this in TN for our future house in another state entirely, we plan to order additional furniture items from Jennifer long distance once we’re in the space and know what else we want! Also - hats off to Ethan Allen for actually having examples of almost every furniture piece they sell on the floor to see, sit on, etc. in person. It makes a HUGE difference to be able to do that and part of the reason we know we won’t end up regretting our order.

Jenny Grip of Ethan Allen decorated my entire house while I was on assignment out of state. She did a fantastic job. We started with a vision, my vision, which we developed from pictures, many conversations, samples and decoration options. Jenny took the time to understand my tastes and preferences and was the catalyst to developing a vision I fell in love with and was able to see and adjust through a 3D illustration. Every room was planned from furniture to accessories and, in the end, it was a seamless flow of the home I’ve always dreamed of. Jenny is a pleasure to work and she is able to perceive the style and preferences of the client and work within a budget to bring a dream to life. I have since moved from this house and incorporated my furniture, rugs, artwork, etc. into my new home. Where we have needed to make changes and enhancements, Jenny has been my trusted consultant as we added a dining rug, table and accessories for the new house. As Jenny relocated to Tennessee, she worked with me remote and delivered the same exceptional work as when we met in person. Jenny is amazing. At the first house we worked together via email and she not only designed and ordered every item, but she also consulted with me at my house, and was present for delivery and set up the entire house for me. The house was stunning. And, the furniture and other decorations are of a type that I was able to incorporate them into the new home to achieve the same stunning, yet comfortable, result in my new home. Our experience working with EA Designer Taylor Harrell far exceeded our expectations. My fiance & I had to furnish numerous rooms in our house. We had different tastes/styles & wanted to keep a few of our own individual pieces & supplement pieces from EA & other stores. Taylor is very likeable & has excellent communication skills. Taylor listened to our opinions & asked questions so he had a good understanding of our design style & the function of our space. Taylor acted as mediator between me & my fiancé and he was able to blend our diverse styles, with superb results. Taylor listened to our ideas and provided honest feedback about how our ideas would impact our space. Taylor took the time to explain how the scale, color & texture of furniture & décor items affected our design. Taylor helped us visualize our design with his use of computer software and he kept us within our budget. Taylor was not pushy & provided feedback on other items I found at other stores. We furnished numerous rooms in our house with far more EA furniture, custom drapery and custom bedding, than expected. I attribute that to the excellent communication, customer service & attention to detail that Taylor provided to us, as well as the excellent quality of all of the items we purchased.
