The store layout is great. Love the products. In fact they sell the specific pen I prefer to write with when working. I also adore their use of the old deposit boxes.
The downshot. I went into the store dressed down for the day. The two people on staff (a lady and a young man) glanced up at me before the young lady vanished and the young man immediately buried himself in his phone. I did make some product inquiries and he glanced up briefly to inform me they did not carry inkwell.
I noticed at that point that they carried my favorite pen and made a comment, he glanced up for a second and then went back to his phone. I purchased a pen and some nice chocolate which they had out. The young man did not even speak to me or look at me when he checked me out and as soon as he cashed me out he was back in his phone.
The pen is now used up (I write a lot) and the chocolate was divine. I was about to go back and buy more but decided I just did not want to patronize a place that cared so little about a potential regular customer.
