Hot Wok — Restaurant in Franklin

We just moved to the area and had high hopes for this place given the great reviews. The food must have been better a year ago when these pictures and reviews were posted because we were very disappointed. We went at noon and were told they were only doing to-go, which was understandable because of COVID. Nothing on the line looked appetizing though. It all looked dry/over cooked or like it had been sitting out for a while. We eventually started making our selection and half way through placing our orders they ran out of sesame chicken. We asked when there would be more available and were told they weren't making any more. That was it. (WHAT!? It's noon! You're open till 5!) That was a disappointment to the rest of the crew who had also wanted the sesame chicken. Once we got home and started eating it, the sesame chicken was dry and under sauced, the chicken without a stick was dry and tough, the noodles were soft and overcooked, the pepper steak was practically all onions and peppers, hardly any steak. Only one employee in the front during rush hour lunch. That's bad business practice. Customers took 30 minutes. It wasn't like any of us ordered anything complicated.

Noodles didn't have any flavor, like everyone is saying. Wonton didn't have any center, just the noodle like people have already said.

Very disappointing the advertised menu was not what was available at the restaurant. Purchased the Hot and Sour Soup as the person behind the counter had already dished it out. It was snowy outside and and the warmth of whatever that was was welcome even though it didn't taste much like Hot and Sour Soup.
