Cooking Class Buyer Beware! I usually don't like writing negative reviews, but I think anyone who is interested in purchasing a cooking class for themselves or someone else should go on knowing to manage your expectations of what you're really getting.

I purchased a cooking class for my Dad (who us a beginner cook) for Christmas, and after reading the website, I was very impressed with the menu that the class offered, and I was looking ofrward to my dad being able to get some hands-on instruction from a chef, and to be able to cook his own meal, take pictures of it with pride, eat something he made with his own hands, and maybe bring the leftovers home.

What actually happened was that the "cooking class" was really more of a cooking demo. I didn't accompany my dad to this calss, but based on his description, he was only able to watch a chef cook the food from the pre-selected menu. It was not a situation in which he, as a "student" got to cook along with the chef, or cook his own food at all.

Again, I don't want to be overly negative, because my dad did say that he learned from watching and he got to taste the food. Bcause he still had fun and learned something, I give it 3 stars, but I was hoping for a lot more when I gifted my dad this "cooking class".

TL;DR - Buy beware: what you're purchasing is less of a cooking calss, and more of a cooking demo where a chef cooks a meal and you get to watch adn taste...

This is at the top of my list for gourmet kitchen supplies plus beautiful and affordable home decor (and lots of other goodies) in Fredericksburg. The owner, who I understand worked for Tiffany for many years, is so friendly and helpful and has a keen eye for sourcing beautiful but affordable furniture and decorative accessories, which have that high-end look and feel. He is also extremely talented at styling, and I always enjoy his front window displays, especially during the holidays.

Walked in. Cool store. Found a couple things to purchase. Looked around for someone to pay. Continued to look around for about 10 minutes. Finally a younger girl that did not look professional at all came from back talking on her cell phone. She looked annoyed at having to take my money. Never got off the phone during the entire transaction. Then after I suggested she work on her customer service she threw me out of the store. Worst experience I have ever had in retail. DO NOT give this place...
