Little Libby Beans — Local services in Frenchtown

Went in because I saw they had Gelato on their front sign and was intrigued. Apparently imported from Italy. There was a few flavors: vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate, strawberry, mango sorbet, espresso, and one other I can't remember.

Tried the vanilla and strawberry. Both excellent. The vanilla had a ton of vanilla beans in it which is awesome. The strawberry had intense flavor. Very fruity.

Ended up ordering a large in the mint chocolate chip which was also amazing. Lots of fresh mint flavor and the chips were plentiful. Like a true Gelato the ice cream is silky and creamy.

Shop is really clean and has cute seating area in their back patio. Staff is friendly....

I am not sure what kind of vibes this town is radiating, but they are not good. No one is friendly. Stopped in this seemingly cute candy store to buy a treat, ask about local dining and inquire as to restrooms. A guy in an odd joker like mask treated us as though we were from another planet. Talked to us in a condescending manner. He told us restaurants were mostly closed(by 5?) and directed us to a gas station. Didn't buy anything.

The gelato is very delicious, and the lovely patio is a charming delight. It has the feel of a secret garden. We brought home chocolate and that, too, was extraordinary. We were offered a sample of the Italian hot chocolate, and we will be back for a cup as soon as the weather is cooler. It is wonderful to have a special little somewhere to go to in Frenchtown when we are looking for a sweet....
