Just when you thought Frenchtown couldn't possibly get anymore aesthetically impressive, or friendly - Sunbeam General Store hits the local scene. Tucked away around the corner, and across the street from the local favorite, Bridge Cafe - Sunbeam's welcoming front porch beckons you to take a closer look! Upon entering the store, you will be greeted by one of the owners (Hannah and Ben) and their infectious smiles. The retro toy selection made me fondly reminisce my childhood. The selection includes classic childhood favorites, gag toys, but more importantly... intellectually stimulating toys for children of all ages. Once you're done test driving the toys, you and your child HAVE TO crack open your own geode. My son loved it, and the owners are happy to give instructions and assist. Additionally, Sunbeam offers many local staples like honey, sauces, handmade candles etc. At this point, you're only 1/4 of the way through the various merchandise offered, but save plenty of time to hit the penny candy selection. You didn't hear it from me, but the owners will turn a blind eye to minimal sampling ;) We had a blast mixing our candy bags. I could spend hours in Sunbeam looking at all of the jewelry they carry (the majority of it is handmade), natural/ organic health and beauty products, sunglasses, hiking and fishing gear, artwork, handmade leather goods, all natural pet products, and so much more! The shop itself perfectly reflects what Frenchtown is - a little bit of everything, while Hannah and Ben personify the notorious Frenchtown vibe - everyone is welcome! We can't...

The general store is chock full of timeless toys, outdoor games, adventure gear, old fashioned candy, decor, and locally produced goods. The hidden treasures clothing store is Frenchtown fashion at its finest. The owners have an exquisite eye for clothing, shoes, and accessories, ranging from casual to cocktail.
