My friend and I recently stopped by Frenchtown Cafe for a quick Sunday lunch, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. We chose to sit outside, enjoying the beautiful weather which added to the overall ambiance of our meal. The menu at Frenchtown Cafe is impressive, with a focus on healthy and high-quality ingredients. While I would have loved to see a dedicated brunch menu available on weekends, the variety and freshness of the offerings did not disappoint. I ordered the Chef Signature Grain Bowl, which featured Farro, Lemon Paprika Roasted Chickpeas, Radish, Bibb Lettuce, Heirloom Tomatoes, Marinated Tofu, and Chimichurri. Every bite was a burst of flavor, particularly thanks to the zesty Chimichurri and the perfectly roasted chickpeas. It was both satisfying and nutritious. My friend opted for the Strawberry Arugula Salad, which included Cucumbers, Red Onions, Fried Goat Cheese, Toasted Almonds, Strawberry, and a Poppy Seeds Vinaigrette. The combination of fresh strawberries with the creamy fried goat cheese and crunchy almonds made for a delicious and well-balanced salad. The service was another highlight of our visit. The staff were quick, attentive, and kind, ensuring that we had everything we needed without any delays. This efficiency was much appreciated, especially on a busy Sunday afternoon. One thing to note is that parking in the area can be challenging, so it's wise to plan ahead if you're on a tight schedule. Despite this minor inconvenience, our overall experience at Frenchtown Cafe was exceptional. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a healthy and tasty meal in a charming setting.

If you want to spend a smooth and pleasant Sunday accompanied by a delicious breakfast or lunch, there is a must to visit Frenchtown Cafe in Frenchtown, NJ. Frenchtown is a very cute neat town located in Hunterdon County, on the banks of Delaware River. The downtown is not big, but it has everything a tourist would need: clothing boutiques, a yarn boutique, cafes and restaurants, police station, a bank, a fuel station, pharmacy, and more...The houses seem to be historical, from George Washinton's times. Very cute and well taken care... Frenchtown Cafe is a small Cafe Restaurant which offers breakfast, lunches, and dinner. The portions are generous, and the prices are decent. There is the option of eating indoors or outdoors. The staff is friendly and quick. They have spoiled me, as I have placed the breakfast order almost at the time when they were switching for lunch. I have ordered poached eggs covered in homemade hollandaise sauce, on a bed of home fries, sauted mushrooms, radishes, and sauted bok choy. My breakfast was delicious, the coffee strong, and all together they made my visit to Frenchtown a memorable one. That's why I want to give credit where credit is due.

Came in for lunch around 1 on a Thursday and it wasn't busy at all. Staff was friendly but service was slow for some reason. We sat around for awhile before our order was taken. Ordered the Southwest chicken panini and a side of french fries. Food also came out a bit slow. The chicken sandwich was cooked nicely. The texture of the bread and chicken was great. The flavor overall was quite bland which surprised me since the ingredients contained Chipotle mayo. Not even a slight kick from that. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. Not the best I've had but pretty good. They were nice enough to split the sandwich onto two plates for us. Something burned in the kitchen while we were there so the whole place reeked of smoke for a good while.

First time visitors. Atmosphere was great. Love the decor. Service was fantastic! Our waitress was on top of everything and this was refreshing. Also love Frenchtown as a quaint and cool locale.

The food...just so-so. They offer a great and varied menu, which is really a treat to see. However, in our opinion - breakfast potatoes are always ruined by adding peppers - disappointing. I had an omelet which, while very packed with ingredients - was dry and rather bland considering it was made with pesto and prosciutto. I honestly could not tell that it was not bacon. Meat was overcooked and too crunchy. The pesto flavor was faint. The dry nature of the omelet could have been improved with perhaps more cheese. I really don't know. I took over half of it home and only ate half of that leftover as it was just so dry and lackluster. My dining partner had strawberry cheesecake French toast. It was again so-so and overall too sweet.

We'll probably try this restaurant again simply based on the location, service and...
