Black Swan Provisions — Local services in Frenchtown

What a fantastic new addition to Frenchtown! We visited the Black Swan Provisions today, the day after their grand opening, and were pleased to see an array of pastas, sauces, jams, vinegars and so much more available at this shop. They were very friendly and offered to help with questions and suggestions. They have local jams including strawberry and blueberry. The pasta selection was great and they even had pasta and sauce combination packets which looked very interesting. The vast selection of balsamic vinegar selection was my favorite feature there. You can have a tasting to try before you buy. My favorite was the strawberry balsamic vinaigrette. What a wonderful addition to our area!! The olive oils are wonderful and being very picky with my food I was delighted to see quality pasta and oils and condiments. The handmade linens and tiles are lovely. It was very busy and the staff did it’s best to answer questions and check out customers. One of owners was very kind to cut even though he was very busy. I am local so the week days will be my time to visit instead of the tourist weekend. Best of luck and thank you for opening such a nice store in our area....

Service was horrible. It took forever for them to give me my pastries. I was there first and they attended the people behind me before they got to me, same thing happened when it was time to pay. They shouldn’t be this careless with their customers. My pastry was not good, it clearly wasn’t fresh and none of the staff even knew what it was. My donut was very good, however.
