This is probably the worst service I have ever received in my life. That's coming from a guy who travels all the time for business to different regions of the world. Unfortunately we had the owner/cooks bratty, inexperienced, cavalier, entitled son as our server. You could tell it wasn't his blood, sweat and tears that went into the business and he was riding daddy's coattails with the expectation that one day the business would just fall to him.
It took 45 min for our sandwiches to be served and during that time he never came back to the table to check on us or give us refills for our drinks. When I brought it to his attention, he still didn't come back with more drinks. He did happen to stop by the table after we were there for 20 min and pacify us with a lie that our food would be there in 5 min. When I asked for the manager he said he was cooking, which is a huge red flag for a restaurant. There should be an owner, a manager and a cook, all with separate responsibilities.
After that he proceeded to get snippy and defensive with an attempt to lecture me about what my disposition should be regarding his poor service. This is all on top of the food just being average and over priced. I wouldn't recommend going, but if you do make sure you don't get this clown. If his dad is reading this, please take the pacifier out of juniors mouth and send him out into the real world to gain some valuable experience on...
Read moreJust by chance (or good luck) we stumbled across the Bridge Cafe and we are happy we did! Im not a vegetarian but the spinach lentil and feta veggie burger looked too good to pass up and it's hands down the BEST I've ever had. My wife had the grilled cheese with onion jam and it was UNBELIEVABLE! I'm getting that next time because I only got to have a small bite of hers. They have baked goods but I was full from lunch so I'm saving it for the next visit. The service is fast and friendly. The indoor all-glass patio area offered us an excellent view of the Delaware River because the day we were there was a little too cold to sit on the outdoor terrace where you can hear the water! It's right along a walking path where we counted at least 30 dog walkers so if you're out walking with your 4 legged kids you can easily get a bite to eat and sit outside without having to worry about leaving them somewhere. It's a great place to go alone especially if you are dog walking because the other patrons are very friendly. We made some new friends (hello Mike & Kelly) who were also first timers but were planning on what they were having when they return. Mike already decided he's having the veggie burger. Hope to see...
Read moreFirst of all when we entered the place the guy who takes your order was playing chess with another employee so we had to wait until he finished his game before he attended to us. Thought that was rude. Absolutely bare bones no frills place to eat. No menus, There are pieces of paper on the wall when you enter. You pick from those. We wanted water with our meal and the guy went over to the wash sink spigot and filled two paper cups with that water. When you sit down your food will come to your table in a paper bag. And in that bag is your food in cardboard containers like you are at a 1950's burger joint. Plastic utensils and ketchup packets, No bottles of condiments. Since you pay before eating and also tip ,once you get your food you never see them again. Not even to see if you want refills or to ask is everything ok. Nope you are forgotten once they get your money. So really nothing special here. The food was 3 out of 5 stars so not horrible. Good luck if...
