They tell you over the phone that if you want to go before the judge, to be in front of this building before 7am and that cases are picked randomly, so it doesn't matter what number you are in line; However, their time of operation does not begin until 8am, so meanwhile you along with 30 other people are waiting outside in 100 degree fresno heat, for these people to open their doors, their system is so antiquated. Also, unless you are just there to pay or see about a traffic citation, you cannot park in their parking lot, you have to park at a meter if you are going to court and fresno's meters rob you of your money $0.25 cents is 10 minutes, and they will tell you to expect to be there until 1pm(which i was done by 9:40 am, but had put 5 hours worth of quarters into the meter, because i didn't want to get ticketed or towed). The judge was nice I believe Jeff bird, he reduced my citation by $126.00, so i was cool with that, it was more than what i thought he would. Superior court of fresno on M street NEEDS...
Read moreI know...... When is dealing with these places not horrible, but this one takes the cake. I drove a friend to contest a ticket and we we're immediately met with rude, lazy, unhelpful, officers. 2 of the 3 anyway. We had no change for metered marking but luckily the officers told me I could get change 3 blocks down the road. Meter ate 2 of my 4 quarters, leaving 20 mins. By this time friend had been in line for close to 30 minutes and he guessed we we're looking at another hour minimum, so we left. Again leaving we had to pass the officers, who were now smirking and making slick comments loud enough to make sure we heard. Apologize for the novel but I think anyone having to come here should prepare ahead mentally, and the slightest chance of a superior officer reading this who gives a damn makes it worth it. Last thing: again I say all this after expecting a miserable time. Hope this helps someone debating going here in person vs mailing...
Read moreI really hope the people of this court are happy knowing they are being funded by a corrupt police force, and even more so by a terrible and evil system. Judge Jeff Bird might as well be the devil incarnate, and he will have a completely laissez-faire attitude when it comes to needing evidence for a conviction. A truly horrible human being, and horrible court. As someone who has spent a fair amount of money in Fresno, I will now take all my business elsewhere. This county will only get worse if it keeps treating citizens of California this way. This county has taken upon itself to be the troll under the bridge, be wary of preposterous over inflated, zero evidence based, speeding tickets from satanic CHP officers while passing through here on the i5. Make sure to get your camera out to record the stop if you do get pulled over, otherwise the dishonorable judge Bird will most assuredly...
