Going here traumatized me even further after I escaped my abuser. I received a restraining order yet the judge was going to order the man that performed every act of abuse on me and many forms on my children, who had weapons he used to threaten to kill us, into my home alone with us every week. Even knowing this and with proof. The judge was annoyed by me and wrote in my documents that I was being "emotional" when he had me explain in detail abuse including the sexual abuse I went through in front of a room of strangers and became enraged when I cried and was confused. I was not allowed to even have a therapist with me. I had to be alone with my abuser multiple times. And the judge was completely misinformed about services offered involving custody. Yelling at me that he can't order things the mediator said he could such as supervised visitations at a facility. Yet he was very nice to my male abuser. They also exposed my address multiple times when repeatedly told to hide it. And the judge was only focused on leaving early. I have been permanently traumatized with anything involving court or police. I had to move because of them exposing my address. I become mentally unstable for months when i receive a letter from them. I wasnt like this before the experience. I witnessed that many of the lawyers had paid the judge part of his salary creating an unfair situation where it was clear the opposing felt they had no choice but to agree. And they were able to be heard before everyone else despite their appointment times that were set. Do not expect the help desk to help with filling out any documentation. And do not bring hand sanitizing sprays or perfume they will throw them away immediately instead of asking you to keep it out of the building. None of this should have happened in the first place, please fix this. I do not want anyone else to go...

I called in 8am the minute they open and they were unavailable and I kept trying and trying till 9am they finally put me on hold where I was the 11th person. Which its not bad considering every time I call its like 50 people on hold. I've been on hold for 5 hours and 6 min. I was the 3rd person now and they ended my call and said they had system issues. Are you serious. I got a ticket in early June, its now September and it still hasn't been processed at least on the website i believe, its already after the due date, trying to call but nobody is answering, dont live in fresno. All im saying is this court house is the most unreliable I've ever seen. Makes sense why they have less than 3 🌟. I've did my part and try to be responsible about my ticket, I called throughout the months where they say it could take 4 -6 weeks to process and when I did get a hold of the court house they just said to keep checking the website, guess what...

DO NOT USE THE PRO TEMP JUDGE IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. When you show up for court and they ask if you are okay with a pro temp judge, say "NO". It is worth it to get the hearing rescheduled and come back when a judge, who has the experience you need, to hear your case. Twice I have been before pro temp judges, won one/partly lost one. But they were identical in two ways, they made jokes and are not consistent in their rulings. I have won many cases at traffic court and small claims when seen under an established real judge.
