This is a great Jewler, and I highly recommend asking for Marika, she is an amazing saleswoman. My fiancé bought my engagement ring here from another salesman Robert who I do not recommend. We returned to him for our wedding bands, and the whole process was a disaster. We came in shopping for 18k yellow gold to match my engagement ring, he showed us a ring which we both loved and we purchased and sent to be sized. The ring was sent off and once polished it came back rose gold! Which is not at all what I wanted. The ring looked yellow gold due to not being polished for some years and Robert failed to pay attention to detail when checking us out and notice it was a ROSE GOLD ring. Instead of fixing our issue and finding a solution for our upcoming wedding he decided to blame ME and lie to my face and tell me I picked out a rose gold ring and it was our fault. What kind of sales person is aggressive and blames the customer for a mistake they should have caught? We also purchased a wedding band for my fiance, which was also ready that day. I realized the color looked off so I checked inside the ring and it said 10k when we purchased 14k!! So he not only sold me a rose gold ring when I wanted yellow, he messed up the Karot on my finances band as well. We ended up returning my band and having him fix my finances. After arguing with him for about 30 minutes he finally admitted fault and gave a half ass apology, saying he would try to get the ring custom made in yellow in time for our wedding but it would cost more money. I told him I just want my money back and don’t want to give him another opportunity to mess up. I had a pair of earrings that belonged to my mother that I needed matched. When I came in I made it clear I didn’t want to deal with Robert and wanted a separate sale with my earrings, Marika is taking care of them and has been on top of the entire process. She has been keeping me updated through text and assured they will be ready for my wedding. The communication is great and she is so sweet. We love the quality of Markham jewlers and will continue to shop with them through Marika!! Thank you Marika 5 stars for her!! This is the first review that I have ever written.

My family has been doing business with Markham Jewelers for 7 years. We did not have a problem when we made smaller purchases from them in the past.

Last December I made a high end purchase for my wife which was a large Emerald ring. A Dimond fell out of the ring and we brought it in to be fixed. They fixed the ring but it came back uneven and not wearable. We immediately brought it back to them to re-fix it. After 2 months of them having it they still have not fixed it. I went in today the pick it up and a sales clerk was scathingly mad because I was taking the ring home and would find a capable jeweler to make this easy fix. They told us that this piece of jewelry was actually on display for another vender and that he had already been paid and so they could not take responsibility for this purchase which in comparison cost the same as an SUV. Much more happened in this scenario which was more than unprofessional, rude and beyond terrible customer service. I would say that Markham is ok for small purchases but after the out burst of anger I wouldn't return and I would not recommend that anyone that I care about go there. Markham Jewelers is a beautiful and decadent looking store but it feels like they do business more like a used car lot.
