My Family went to visit Motel 6 in rockport texas thinking it was safe and clean. We got in late Monday evening and checked in. I first asked for upstairs room which we did not get when the lady said it wouldn't be a problem. As we were very tired, so i just let it slide. I decided to take a shower first which I am very glad i did. Found that their was used soap bar sitting in the shower with PUBIC hair on it. I was so very disgusted . My kids could have taken a shower before me and used this soap which not knowing any better and washing themselves with this nasty bar of soap that the hotel didn't clean up. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILDREN WOULD OF WASHED AND GOT A DISEASE OR BACTERIA or something because of this soap sitting in the shower. No telling where that soap has been ...... NOT ONLY that but our thought was is this room even clean, the sheets clean? WE felt very disgusted and at 11pm ended up canceling our reservation and going to hamptons inn and suits which was so professional and made sure we were comfortable! Which we ended paying $136 for another hotel because of this. THANK GOODNESS Expedia gave us our points back that paid for this room. Im very upset that we had to go threw this, We didn't want to stay in a suite but ended up having to pay all that money to insure we got a comfortable hotel to stay at because the one we picked was far from clean . After complaining to the person in the office he was so rude and slammed the window down when i told him. SO SO SO RUDE. I know know don't ever trust Motel 6 and just spend the money on a high end hotel. IM SO GLAD MY KIDS were safe in a hotel we could trust. Let me again say this was all late at night! Trying to enjoy our vacation that ended very upset and disgusted!!! Then the lady said oh it hasn't happened in two years!!! REALLY! it shouldn't have...
Read moreWhen you think you can't handle it, God's already got a plan for it ! When things become too much. Start saying to those around, I can't wait to see what God is going to do ! ;~ PBHave you figured out yet that a lot of times you are your own worst enemy? It’s your own reactions, your own fears, and your own inadequacies that cause you to act in foolish ways. I know that’s true for me. I need to be saved from myself because there are things I don’t like about me — things I wish I had done differently, things I’d like to change. But I can’t change them, at least not on my own power. I need an outside power source. You may be saying, “I can change.” I hate to say this, but you can’t.
Every New Year, you may make a list of resolutions, and by the end of January, that list will be in the dumpster. Why? Because you can’t change on your own; you need God’s power. You need a Savior, someone who can make the changes you can’t make yourself. The truth is if you are honest about it, sometimes you feel like your life is out of control. That’s a pretty common feeling. Welcome to the human race!! You may be looking for that one thing that’s going to give you fulfillment and meaning and peace in life. But if you’re not looking to Jesus for salvation, then you’re looking in all the wrong places.
That’s why you’re frustrated. Some of us think that if we could just get married, or get a certain job or a promotion, or attain a certain level of wealth, things would be great. A lot of people are looking for salvation in a self-help book, therapy, a fad, a diet, or a vacation. The answer is not in your circumstances. It’s not in a place, in something, or a program or a pill.
The answer is a person: Jesus Christ. You were made by God for a relationship with God. When we realize this, everything begins to fall into...
Read moreMy family and I stayed in 3 rooms this weekend. Everything was clean. Beds were surprisingly really comfortable and actually had a good nights sleep. The front desk staff was pleasant, even when we were late showing up and didnt check-in until 3am... they still made check-in so easy and pain free and even after I apologized for arriving so late, they just said "no problem" and were pleasant and polite the whole time. To make matters worse we accidentally locked the key in our room right after that when moving bags into the room, and the front desk just quickly issued us another key at 330am... no problems at all. With my patriotic pride, I did appreciate seeing the American flags flying and waving from their mounted position on the hotel building. I was a little upset to find only one fullsize bath towel and half a roll of toilet paper in the room (for 3 people)... but here again, the front desk politely explained where the other bath towel was stored and also gave me a couple of bath towels and more toilet paper to take back to my room. As for parking, there was plenty of room to park our shuttle bus we use for family road trips, and I saw lots of space in one area between the pool and building where people would back in their boats and trailers. I saw 3 boats/trailers parked there and there was probably room for another 4 or 5. Another advantage in my opinion, is this hotel is right behind a big convenience store that stays open 24 hours... just a 1 or 2 minute walk away that would also be a good place to get a hot breakfast or lunch. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay and would...
