Great first impression!
Went into Bull & Bear for the first time today, and was met by some great people who showed me around as the front desk was busy (which was no big deal).
They added an addition recently for the powerlifters a nice rogue bench, calibrated? KG plates, 1/4 inch pin squat rack.
The equipment is older hammer strength (just what I like personally) with some cybex equipment mixed in.
This is a smaller gym, with an area for Ju Jitsu, etc (they had a class going on when I walked in).
Wasn't too busy for the size of the gym at all, dumbbells go up to 125lbs, the powerlifting area had room for deadlifts, 2-3 benches and the squat rack.
The non powerlifting area had a few squat deadlifting (with platforms) combo racks, ample amount of chest, back, leg, and shoulder machines.
They also had stair masters, treadmills, etc.
If you're looking for brand new, "fancy" equipment this is probably not the place you'd prioritize (outside of some nice powerlifting items).
However, if you're looking for a smaller, less packed, let's get in and get the job done type of gym (as I am) I'd say this is the ideal spot if you live anywhere from South part of Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, or Fuquay. The other gyms in the area are more commercial and more packed.
Thanks again for the introductions by a few members, and being...

Sore from training, and over-stimulated from staring at a computer screen all week, I was thrilled to take me a float at Bull & Bear. I totally loved it.
I haven’t experienced a float tank before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Within minutes, my mind was calmed like I was deep in meditation. The experience was soothing and rejuvenating. Although I think I may have dozed off during the float. When I came out of the tank I felt like I fell asleep in a movie theater.
I injured my back pretty extensively about 18 months ago. Soaking in a tub was part of my physical therapy regimen. I wish I had access to a float tank back then. It would have been accessible from my wheel chair, and I would have benefited so much from using it. It took all the pressure off my back!
Another perk of the tank is the size. I’m over 6' tall, so actually being able to fit was great. I haven’t fit in a bathtub for a soak since I was in grade school.
As for the club. It’s totally flipping awesome. Especially if you like to workout. If you go to the gym to text on the phone and snapchat with friends, this isn’t the place for you. People are there to work and work hard. Sure the members know what they're doing and look amazing, but they're some of the nicest people you'll...

They have lost my respect as they cowered and caved to the bullcrap policies of the government...Id gladly pay twice to not go back to Clubworx. Clubworx has me under a year contract and have decided to not even give any information about the situation all while trying to sell access to the pools which is included in my membership. The management and owners are trash. No value for health or fitness, just money. Dont go to Clubworx if the open back up haha "if". Tell your friends not to go to Clubworx. This is where you want to be. Give them your service as they are there to serve you. Been there for months now and havnt died from the bs virus. Oh and Clubworx blocked and hid comments that were critical of them on facebook. Screw Clubworx!!!!!! Come workout with us...
