Ladies! Do not go here if you’re wanting to purchase a gun! You will be ignored until your man comes walking up. I was browsing, for a bit. No hello. No how can I help you. Absolutely nothing. The man working behind the counter was gossiping with some guy I’m assuming he knows because they weren’t looking at anything. I finally found a 1911 I wanted and ready to make a purchase and went completely ignored… simply ignored. For over 10 minutes and I was the only one at the counter besides the gossip boys. I grabbed my boyfriend and he wanted to see what I was thinking of getting him then I came up with an idea to have him stand with me and see how fast someone asks if we need help. Within 2 minutes another worker finally comes up to us and I’m damn sure it’s because my boyfriend was now with me! I told the employee how I have been standing in the same spot wanting to make a purchase but not anymore. I’m absolutely positive it’s because I’m a woman so I simply am too ignorant and feminine to want to purchase yet another gun! Funny enough I’m know at the range I go to since I’m there twice a week. I own multiple firearms and currently building my own AR. I also own my great grandfather’s shot gun and my fathers rifles when he passed. I learned a huge lesson today and that’s not to shop at this place ever again, especially for guns. Clearly I’m just a girl in these people’s eyes and don’t have a clue when it...

Abysmal customer service. Terrible. The first thing that happened when I walked through the front door was an employee, intent on some distant goal, literally walked straight across my current path without pausing or even noticing me. We almost wrecked.
Secondly, I made a deliberate effort to appear as if searching for a department, right in front of a male employee. He looked at me no fewer than three separate times as I was straining my neck and looking all around the building, obviously in an effort to track down an item. He never once addressed me or asked if he could help me find anything.
Finally, in the women's training shoe department, I had no clue of what I was looking for, only what my needs were. It was a gift for my daughter. when I finally managed to directly approach an employee and ask them for help, they essentially showed me the women's shoe department and explained to me that that was their entire selection and to choose from what they had. She never once asked what my unique needs might have been or what exactly I might be looking for. (Much less, offering to help us fit into a shoe.)
I will not be back there again. The competition is too fierce. Other places clearly want...
Read moreWe have purchased numerous bikes, baseball gloves and such from this store and gotten okay service. It has never been outstanding, exceptional, etc., but the salespeople will move towards you if you ask for help. Today we went in hoping for a fishing vest (as a gift for my nephew). The man pointed up one isle and said they only had one kind. There was nothing there. I returned and told him there was no vest at the spot to which he pointed. He wasn't with a customer but still didn't show me...just insisted it was on a hanger above the red bags. There was nothing above the red bags! Two other people were with me and saw nothing above the red bags! Apparently whatever had been there was no longer there and there was no empty place or shelf label where it had been. Anyway, we never found the ONE vest? Also, they didn't carry another item we were looking for, but another sales person pointed towards the area in which it MIGHT be. Anyway, they answer any questions, but don't go over and above. And may or may not know if they have something...haven't ever seen if them actually check for sure. Kinda' disappointing since I chose that sporting store first over others...
