Burlington — Local services in Gainesville

I gave this location two stars because up until today, I was satisfied with the items they carry and have never had any problems with the sales people. These days, however, the only dressers allowed to be used are the "make do" ones up front, which are only 2 and one with a door that won't lock and keeps opening. Being so busy with a long line wanting to try clothes on, I took my purchase to try at home, but when I brought the ones I couldn't keep back, the cashier short changed me, and the manager standing behind her, glanced at the receipt and rudely and condescendedly told me all the price tags had been marked on the receipt and I could go on get out of there my merry way. There were no lines, but convinced the refund was incorrect, I stepped aside to the next empty register to recalculate. I politely insisted that I was short $10, and finally convinced him to look at how my calculations did add up. I dealt with his attitude for a while, until he decided to really take a look at the receipt, when he found out that the last return had been marked in as a purchase instead of a return, hence my $10 short. Mistakes can be made, not a problem, but the lack of professionalism is what's leaving a sour taste in my mouth, and I will try to avoid at all cost so stop at that location where a manager can be...

This is the worst Burlington I have been in. Great items but the wait to be checked out is ridiculous. Only one cashier and three others walking around. After standing in line for over twenty minutes, we had to wait in line for the cashier to run out on the floor. I will not stand in line again for that f time. I don’t think that the people working in Burlington value people time.

August 20, 2023 I am here at Burlington again, this time with a friend. After my first post, the service is worst. They have two more cashiers and they all work like they are lost and don’t know what do. Have been in the line for 45 minutes. It is hot outside and only one bench at the door. A young black girl came to the furniture section and told me and a few others peoples that was sitting in some of the chairs that we couldn’t sit in the chairs. If they are going to be so slow checking people out then put more sittings benches to sit on. This is ridiculous. I can tell that this store doesn’t value the customers time. I am sure if you are on here when they are closing they would run you of the store because then you would be holding up there time. I am done with this store. So if you are bored and don’t have anything better to do with time, this is the place for you. Just hope that you don’t have legs or...

Honestly if I could give the store a 0-stars that would be what they get. The return policy is pretty ridiculous. I bought this coat on 10/20/2022 but I happen to get some black specks on the coat from a fireplace at work. So I decided to wash the coat, the spots did in fact come out but the coat at all the seams literally was torn. The coat did state it was machine washable in cold which I did. I really liked the coat until than. I didn’t keep the receipt because I didn’t know 30 days later this would have happen. They told me that the only way to get the money back for the coat was it could not be worn, or washed and I had to have a receipt. Needless to say I will not be going to shop at your stores again ever....
