I absolutely love Mindy in the print Department..SHE ALWAYS KNOWS WHAT I WANT! I WILL ONLY WORK WITH MINDY! I now make an appointment so I Can work with her. I've always dealt with Hobby Lobby! I'm originally from New Jersey, born and raised only dealt with Hobby Lobby up there but, I didn't realize about the 50% sales off. I remember I had spent $150 on pictures frames, I'm very OCD and my picture frames have to be the same. Mindy is so HELPFUL WITH ME. IM SURE I DRIVE HER CRAZY. WE are currently in Georgia for 3 years and I my children's art work from Grammar School framed. I have a 17 year old that passed away so, his items mean the world to means the most to me. If I have to I'll will wait for her. She is the BEST. I wasn't to happy the I bought a grey big 3 tier table for my pictures it started to chip. I absolutely Love to have to have my sons pictures and old family Pictures. I know I will be banned soon from Hobby Lobby with my spending and I always buy whenever it's on sales. I've just had a picture from my Son who passed away and he had made me a Beautiful #1 Mom picture and had pictures of himself and him and of course I had to have a frame made. Everyone is great in the store! I also always deal with the same cashier I can't remember her name I know it's starts M I'll have to find out. SHE IS ALWAYS SO VERY NICE! She gets cracked up because I'm buying picture frames. Lastly I have one of my Sons Graduation Pictures that has fell off the wall 2x the same picture and I went and asked Mindy about the frame and she advised me the frame is Discontinued. So I go to Michaels what a rip off $26 plus tax! I showed her the price and advised her it was 50% off and I wouldn't be back because I'm EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH MINDY. LAST WEEK THEIR WAS SMALL 2x3 I had loved then I ordered 20 of each. This is the Gainesville. It such a pleasure dealing with MINDY AND MY CASHIER. THANK YOU!...
Read moreI took several items to the register. One was an item that was marked $.89. The cashier said, "This isn't right" and called a manager. The manager told her over the phone it wasn't right without even looking at it. i asked why she couldn't sell it to me at the price marked and she said again that it wasn't the right price and "Someone must have put it there." This inflamed me as she was intimating that perhaps I "put it there." I suggested she peel the sale price tag back and see what the original price was. When we peeled it back, the price was $8.99, so clearly some employee thought the item was 90% off. Having found it in the clearance section, this seemed reasonable. I didn't really care about the item as much as the priniciple of the matter, so I asked to speak to the manager, telling her I'd never encountered a store that didn't honor a price they placed on an item. "Millie" was very rude and again said she wouldn't sell it, and walked off.
My other issue was that I had among the other items in my cart something that I'd found in the 80% off aisle. I had noticed that the price marked was not 80% off the original price, but when I asked the cashier about it, she said, "Well, some of the items on those aisles (meaning the 80% off aisles) haven't quite made it to 80% off yet." I would like to point out that the signs all over these aisles say, "80% off," NOT "UP TO 80% off."
Hobby Lobby has been the defendant in a number of class action lawsuits in several states for deceptive advertising and pricing. Reading online complaints about this purportedly Christian organization has led me to two conclusions: 1) that they are not Christian in their policies and practices, and 2) the most creative thing that comes out of Hobby Lobby the impressive number of different ways they have of cheating customers...
Read moreMy wife today 8/8/2024 had the worst experience of her life at a retail establishment. Her total came to 19.?! And some change. She provided the cashier a $10 bill a $5 bill and 5 one dollar bills. They proceed(the two ladies at the checkout line) to take out a flash light and inspect her bills INCLUDING THE $1 bills to make sure they are not counterfeit. This went on for over 20 minutes all the while my wife is trying to pay with a credit card instead but the cashier refused. They ultimately refused the $1 bills and the $10 bill and accused my wife of presenting counterfeit money. She was so embarrassed after being accused and then also holding up the line. She requested a manager several times but one never showed. She was finally able to pay and get out of there but is so upset by the experience. I called the store and spoke to the manager and all he could tell me is corporate makes them inspect any bill over $10. Can you not afford to provide your employees with a marking pen or electric...
