My phone was 10 years old and one day it contracted a vicious virus even with a very strong anti-virus program installed. After several attempts to remove the virus myself, it became necessary to seek professional assistance. The security technicians was able to isolate and block the virus, but suggested I should get a new phone because the infection was deeply embedded and could mutate again.
After purchasing a new phone (I really did not want to get a new one), I called my carrier T-Mobile to inquire about walking me through with the Smart Switch to transfer my data. I was informed that since my old phone was severly infected that it would be better to go to the T-Mobile store, so the data could be transferred safely without transferring the virus and possible new infected files to the new phone.
Upon my arrival at the T-Mobile store on 61st street, I was greeted by Associate, Ms. Ayesha. After explaining my dilemma, her caring and warm spirit ensured me that she could safely transfer my data without compromising my new phone. While my data was processing to the new phone, Ms. Ayesha, assisted other customers and returning often to check on me and the status of the transfer.
Ms. Ayesha was very detailed-oriented, efficient, knowledgeable, patient, and professional! I never felt abandoned or rushed. Her 5-Star customer service was exceptional and above and beyond!
Whether you are a T-Mobile customer or not, I highly recommend Ms. Ayesha at the T-Mobile store in Galveston on 61st street for all your phone and/or technical needs! You will have a great experience and depart feeling the security and trust that your issue will be thoroughly resolved! Also, this store has a really cool soundtrack that creates a relaxing mood...
Read moreWas a happy T-mobile customer for more than 6 years. Visited the store in the past. Phones are no longer on display, but locked in a timed safe in the back. Presumably T-Mobile NO LONGER trusts its customers. Two very nice young ladies working as sales girls, backed by a sullen crew of men with indeterminate job assignments, but possibly acting as "security" Entered the store cheerfully to purchase two new phones and add a third line to business account. Instructed by unsmiling security type to "don't disrespect the ladies" after dropping my ID on the counter as part of the sale. Gentleman proceeded to stand uncomfortably close to me as if I, at age 66, was going to grab something and run. Asked him to back up a step and was told "don't do that". Asked if the manager was in and when he arrived and asked how to help me, I said "let's review the videotape". He said he couldn't do that because he has no access. I also asked him if the "security" guy could back away a little bit as I felt I was being intimidated, and he moved back. I said "maybe you should give him a nightstick' and was THEN asked to leave the store by manager, because "he cannot let me disrespect his employee". No phone sale for them. Recommend Cricket just a bit further down the road. Phones on display, better prices, no "visiting day at Huntsville" atmosphere. Here's a clue for you T-Mobile, 1) don't insult your customer with false accusations. 2) don't "disrespect" your customers by attempting to physically intimidate them. I suspect you will be out of business soon enough with this approach. You will...
Read moreI am posting this as my service was just suspended for the fifth time since I opened an account at this location. I set the account up last April to automatically update and pay from my credit card each month. For the next four months, my account was suspended, even though I received notification that the payment was accepted. The various people I saw after each of these very annoying screwups spent about 30 - 45 minutes each time attempting to "fix" the problem. Finally, after 4 months the manager (I thought!) fixed the problem. No such luck. This morning, again my service was terminated. Of course the store is not open until 10am, and of course I have an extremely busy day ahead of me with no way to contact anyone BECAUSE MY PHONE IS NOT WORKING!!! I simply don't have time to drop everything else and go stand around at Tmobile for an hour while the people who are supposedly the experts on communication stand around trying to figure out why my service keeps being shut down even though my bill is paid in advance each month! I am posting this review because there is no other way to contact these...
