Several years ago on a trip to Galveston we happened upon this nursery. Had a great experience. Purchased a beautiful orange pot for our backyard flowerbed. The very nice lady gave us a cutting off of a hibiscus. We nursed it all the way home and it is beautiful! We returned to Galveston recently and we’re excited to tell them about how well the hibiscus is and to thank them again. We also were looking for a bigger pot to transfer it to. When we got there we saw a worker sweeping. She looked up at us and immediately went back to sweeping. It was then that I noticed that she had earbuds in and was not interested in assisting us. We looked at a few plants and then went to look for a bigger pot. No luck. We went in the main store to look at a few things and another worker in there never even acknowledged us.    Read moreI really want to give this place a 5 star, I really do, because their selection is outstanding (even though it's a little pricey) and the atmosphere is incredible. You completely feel relaxed in this peaceful garden with the waterfall features, sweet flower smells, and calming music. But unfortunately I was spoken to by a gentleman as if I was stupid, and that left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth. I'm an avid plant lover; I have over 30 houseplants. I've had a certain plant for about 6 years now and recently have seen some issues with it that I've never seen before, so I came in to get an expert's opinion. Everyone other than this one person treated me very well and showed professionalism and knowledge in their field, however, since I was spoken to in a you-don't-know-what-you're-doing kind of way, I will...

But if you’re trying to pick up a cart of greenery, or more, it’s a Rubik’s cube of a maze to try to check in and check out.
Obviously, no one thought about how to make it easy for a customer to check out if they have more than just a couple of handful of items.
Add to that, if there’s rain in the area (keep in mind this is Galveston ), pack your boots because there’s no way to get to your car without navigating a canal of water.
The parking lot is almost nonexistent… and there’s no real sidewalk. Totally dysfunctional to say the least.
It’s unfortunate because you try to shop local when you can, but you might as well go to Home Depot or Lowes...
